This quilt has special meaning to me and it is dedicated to my husband! 2009 promises to be full of wonderful new experiences and opportunities but one of the highlights for us will be celebrating 20 years of marriage in February.

We will start off the year celebrating our youngest grandchilds first birthday and end the year celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary.... In between we will celebrate small accomplishments...

What a wonderful stitchery quilt - that's on my list of patterns to try in 2009! My daughter celebrated her 30th birthday on New Year's Day 2009. Her children will turn 3 and 1 in 2009! So 09 will be a busy year!

ReplyDeleteOne milestone is that we will be married 18 years this March 2nd. Also, my best friend from California will be visitng me in May. I haven't seen her since I moved to Kansas in August 2006. I can't wait to see her! Last, but not least, this will be my second year in business as a pattern designer.

ReplyDelete2009 will be our 30th anniversary! Can't believe so many years have passed. We have 6 kids and 6 grandkids. Our oldest daughter is expecting her first child in the next few weeks and another grandchild will make an appearance this summer....MY! Happy new year to you and yours. The pattern makes a wonderful quilt..I can't wait to see the embroidered images better....if I win that is....

What a lovely pattern, Rose. In 2009 we'll add 3 members to our family...one grandchild, a grandniece and another grand nephew or niece! And my DH and I will have graduated 50 years ago from high school...not the same one though!

My mother is 87 years old and still in good health. She still quilts, tats and teaches handcrafts to a few students who come to her home. We celebrate every year that she is still with us. And in August we hope to celebrate her 88th birthday.

This year in 2009 my eldest son will be starting high school, I'm not looking foreward to it at all, luckily he is. Where does the time go, my little boy will soon be 13. My husband and I are also celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary, during that time he has carted me all over Australia with his job. Luckily we are here to stay now.

On Jan. 1 DH and I celebrated the 10th anniversary of our first date. We've been together since then.

ReplyDeleteMy son should graduate from Nursing school in Dec. 2009. It's been a fight all the way, because he's an older student, he's male, and to some people, he looks like a biker, because he's big and has a beard. He's fought all kinds of prejudice, won a discrimination hearing, and many other difficult things. We are all rooting for him the last two semesters, and it looks as if the remaining teachers are ones who like him. Yay! =)

Hi, thanks for this great giveaway. In 2009 my "first" niece will be 2 years old, and her sis will be one. The 2nd birthday of my first niece is an extremely big event as she was born as a really preterm baby (she was only 28 weeks old when born). She is completely healthy now, but every birthday is a biggie in the family. :)

My husband and I are enjoying the slower pace of life, now that we are near our 50s. This year will start our 7th year together, and it seems like things keeps getting better and better every year.
