Week Ending - August 22

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create, every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been a kind one!

Do you write bucket lists? I write one for every season and this practice allows me to appreciate the little things, mindfully connect with family and enjoy this wonderful life. To often we get swept up in the grind of daily living and the anxieties of the world, forgetting to make a dandelion wish, splash in the puddles, read by the fire, have a family picnic or blow bubbles in the sunshine.

We started writing family bucket lists when the kids were little, especially during the school holidays. Our lists were always simple, practical and doable - it was all about living our best lives, together!

What's on your bucket list for the upcoming season? What makes you feel grounded and at peace? What brings you happiness and what makes your heart sing?

Let me know if you try this practice for the new season ahead. It enriches your life in so many ways! For some bucket list ideas for spring look HERE and for fall/autumn look HERE.

I do have some wonderful projects for you this week, so let's go:

  • It was Granny Square Day last Sunday and I loved the Flora Granny Square from Attic 24. Lucy has provided a link to the tutorial, plus a link to the free PDF download, so you can crochet some of your own.
  • Everyone love's Bonnie's patterns and she's holding a Rocky Road to Grayson PDF Pattern Gift Away at the the moment. If you're in the US, make sure you enter and PDF patterns are available for purchase for those ineligible for the gift away!

  • How amazing do these Honey Vanilla Pots de Creme look from Love and Olive Oil look? I love a baked custard and I'm always looking for honey recipes, so I can't wait to give these a try - they sound amazing!
  • Give your notebooks a face lift with the Learn to Sew a Composition Notebook Cover Tutorial from Bernina. These are so simple and fun, and there's written instructions plus a video tutorial to make them quick and easy.
  • Tonight's menu includes these Tofu and Brown Rice Lettuce Cups from a Pinch of Yum. We need a light but filling meal tonight and I thought these might be perfect. I'm on the fence about tofu and don't cook with it often, but these sound interesting! I'll let you know!

  • Esther from It's All In A Nutshell has this gorgeous Summer Flower Mandala pattern available for you to crochet. These are stunning and they're a great gift idea or a fun way to decorate your home. Grab your yarn bags and make a whole heap!
  • And lastly, I fell in love with these Exquiste fabrics from Gerri Robinson. How sweet are those prints and aren't the colours perfect? They have an old world feel which I love and I'm dreaming up so many projects for these. Absolutely stunning!

That's it for this week! I hope you're doing something wonderful this weekend!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
