Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been kind.
Man flu hit our house hard this week - I'm sure you know how debilitating that can be for our male friends ;) Fortunately mine was a simple dose of the regular flu, so I could still perform daily tasks and play nurse to everyone.
We're taking a road trip to the country today for a good dose of vitamin D and some healing time in nature. I've packed a crochet project and a book and we're looking for a sunny spot near the water for a winter picnic.
Let's take a look at the projects I found for you this week:
- How stunning is the Conservatory Quilt Pattern from AGF Studio? The quilt incorporates the gorgeous Willow fabrics from Sharon Holland and the rich colours make this clever design pop. The pattern is free to use on their website and a great one to try in different fabric combinations.
- Last night's dinner was the Chicken Pasta recipe from Essen Recipes and this has become a new favorite in our house. It's easy to prepare, packed with flavour and texture, and it has a delicious cheesy sauce making it the perfect winter comfort food. I would definitely recommend.
- If you love C2C crochet, you'll adore the C2C Rainbow Sprinkles Blanket Pattern from Pixel Crochet. This is a simple yet effective design and who could resist being snuggled up in colourful sprinkles. A great pattern for the kids or grandkids and it's free to use.
- Wild Keepsakes is another free pattern on the AGF Studio website, and this one uses the Woodland Keepers fabric collection from Maureen Cracknell. The colours are also rich and lush and this design is stunning. It's hard to choose between both quilts, so sew both!
- I made this Moist Date and Walnut Cake from Yummy Food Guide yesterday to take on today's road trip and it is so so good. The cake is the perfect combination of crunch and delicious flavours and it is very moist. We snuck a piece last night because it smelt too good to wait for our picnic.
- Thrifted frames and pretty fabrics make these Clip Photo Boards from An Oregon Cottage a fun project and a great way to brighten your sewing space. You could add inspirational quotes, photos, fabric scraps, quilt notes etc. to inspire you as you sew. They would also make lovely gifts for someone special with items they will love and cherish.
- Crochet Beja has a video tutorial for the Pineapple Square that I think you'll love. This delicate pattern could become a new favorite and its lacy structure when the squares are joined together is so pretty. If you are looking for a new crochet square design to challenge you, this one might be perfect.
And that's it for another week. I hope these projects inspire you to create.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
