Week Ending (January 13)

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been a kind one. Hubby is still on holidays so we are working on house maintenance etc. but I'm still stealing time away to sew my quilt for the upcoming fabric blog tour. Its looking so pretty! I can't wait to share it with you on the 25th.
This weeks Week Ending list has seven great links to get your creative juices flowing, so lets see what inspired me:

  • First up, Sedef Imer has a wonderful tutorial over on Amy's Diary of a Quilter blog for this gorgeous Scandi Pillow. She's used her Summer Blush fabrics and its another great example of how well these fabrics play together. Its a quick 10 step tutorial and you're going to love it!
  • Sarah from Repeat Crafter Me has created the cutest Crochet Hedgehog Pattern. He's simply adorable and looks fun to crochet. If your new to amigurumi crochet then this little guy might be the perfect place to start.
  • A decluttered home makes me happy.  Katrina at the Organised Housewife is running a 52 Week Decluttering Challenge and she is already on week 2 but you could catch up quickly. Its great motivation to get you on your way to a uncluttered and organised home.

  • My must try recipe for next week are these S'mores Tartlets from Sally's Baking Addiction. I have fond childhood memories of summer holidays spent camping and melting marshmallows around the campfire so I'm looking forward to a trip down memory lane with this recipe.
  • The good old scrunchie is making a comeback and the team at A Beautiful Mess have put together a Make Your Own Bow Scrunchie Tutorial. How many of these did I own in their hay day? And more importantly, am I too old for a scrunchie now? ;) According to my sons (girl) friends, wearing them on your arm as a bracelet is all the rage. (OK I'm definitely too old for that trend!)

  • Have you seen the gorgeous fabric range Rosewood from 3 Sisters yet? The chocolate, cherry, caramel, vanilla and frost combination is simply stunning. It's another gorgeous line from these lovely ladies and I think I need some :)
  • And finally, I was at Spotlight last week and found some new to me yarn - Lion Brand Landscapes. Its so soft and squishy and I'd love to crochet with it. The Lion Brand website has this Misty Moors Scarf pattern using the colourway Metropolis and I'm loving the colour change. I think I might grab some and give this yarn a try!

So that's my list for another week. I hope you find some creative time today. Hubby and I are off to scout the antique shops. I'm looking for something for a spot near our front door. I have no idea exactly what I'm looking for but I'll know what it is when I see it :)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Happy Week Ending :)
