Week Ending (January 27)

Happy Sunday lovely! How's your week been? Hubby went back to work this week but Cohen is still on holidays until early February - we've been busy getting him ready for college. Arghhh so many things to organise but we're almost done!
Today I've got another list of Valentine's Day links to get you excited about the season of love, so lets see what inspired me this week:

  • First up is this gorgeous Love Notes Pillow Cover or Mini Quilt from Jane Michel. This is just so cute and perfect for Valentine's Day - or though, you could make it at anytime of the year. Its a mix of traditional piecing and a little applique and I think you're going to love it.
  • I thought this Crochet Valentine's Heart was sweet. Its made with three Daisy Granny Squares and its a free pattern with lots of photos to help you along the way. Or maybe you could make one with some orphan squares you may have lying around.

  • If you want to add just a touch of Valentine's Day to your home, this Scrappy Fabric Wreath might just be the answer. Its a sweet way to add some reds and pinks to a room and they are fun to make - plus who doesn't have a gazillion scraps lying around? Fun project!
  • Katrina at the Organised Housewife shared her recipe for Strawberries and Cream White Chocolate Truffles and woah, these look amazing! Might have to give these little gems a try! The recipe includes Iced VoVo biscuits so I apologise it they don't have them where you live.

  • Are you thinking of giving candy or chocolate to a loved one this Valentine's Day? Well this Crochet Heart Shaped Candy Bag from Lily Sugar 'n' Cream is the sweetest! Its available as a free download from Love Crochet and I think its adorable. I love the popcorn detail.
  • Holly from Maker Valley has a new quilt pattern available called I Love You and I Like You and you guys, its gorgeous!!! The LOVE sculpture by Robert Indiana was not her inspiration, but she has an awesome picture of the quilt next to it on Instagram. Stunning!
  • And finally, Lisa from A Spoonful of Sugar has a tutorial for these cute Love Notes using some cardstock and fabric scraps. These would make perfect gift cards for your loved ones and a great project to do with the kids over the weekend.

And that's my list for another week. I hope you found something to inspire you to create. Hubby and I are off to Bunnings - we're planning a full garage/workshop renovation for him over the coming months. He's got his list of measurements and we're looking at new workbenches, storage cupboards, tool trolleys, paint colours etc. etc. He's pretty excited I tell ya! I can't wait to renovate this space with him.
Happy Week Ending :)
