Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!
Happy Sunday lovely. I hope you're well and feeling creative.
I spent my week sewing, baking and finishing a knitted project which I'll share later. It was a relaxed week which is rare for me, so it felt nice to be creative at my own pace.
I also spent a lot of time outdoors in this early spring weather. The patio needed a refresh and there were seeds to plant in the glasshouse, but the one thing that made me the happiest was being able to hang our washing outside on the clothesline - it's the little things that spark the most joy!
I did find some inspiring projects this week and hopefully you can create them at a slow and intentional pace. Let's go:
- I love the Fern In The Window Wall Hanging crochet pattern from Love and Stitch Designs. This has a modern boho feel and a very trendy piece of decor. PDF patterns are available in her Etsy shop and make sure you look at her other designs - gorgeous!
- The Mini Maker Station from Lilyella is a must for every sewer/crafter. This free pattern is an arm rest organisation station, and the addition of magnets makes accessories interchangeable and safe. A fun idea and a sweet pattern!
- Today's lunch is the Pane Bianco with Sun Dried Tomatoes from A Hint of Rosemary. Paired with a fresh salad this will be a lovely meal and it's that time of year again where we can eat in the patio and soak up the fresh air!
- I'm working on Repeat Crafter's me free Crochet Flower Crown pattern and making some crowns for our spring equinox celebrations. These have been so fun to work on and I know little Miss Iris is going to love her flower crown. Great project to crochet while watching television in the evenings.
- Strawberry season will be upon us very soon and I can't wait to bake the Strawberry Meyer Lemon Tart from Love and Olive Oil. This looks delicious and this combination of lemon, strawberry jam and fresh strawberries, sounds amazing.
- Sandalwood from 3 Sisters is a delightful collection of floral and paisley fabrics in beautiful tones of reds, blues, greys and creams. The prints are adorable and the colours are a lovely, muted hue which will be perfect for many projects. Fat Quarter Shop is taking pre-orders and it ships in December. Add this one to your wish list!
- I know some of you are heading into autumn, so The Honey Scarf - Crochet Ripple Pattern from Burgundy and Blush might be just what you're looking to create. The beautiful waves and textures are created using two basic stitches and it's a gorgeous lacy free scarf pattern.
And that's it for another week! I hope you found something new to create.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
