Week Ending - March 23

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been kind.

We headed into nature to celebrate the autumn equinox and replenish our reserves with some forest bathing (shinrin-yoku). Being surrounded by the trees and breathing in crisp fresh air, was therapeutic not only for the body but for the soul. The grandchildren foraged for leaves, pinecones and a gazillion pine needles while mumma and I sipped on hot chocolates and soaked up the magic of the forest.

How did you celebrate the autumn/spring equinox?

I found some more Easter projects for you this week, so let's go:

  • How adorable is the Easter Bunny Basket Crochet Pattern from Greene Crafts Store? The PDF pattern is available in their Etsy store, and I had a quick look at some of the customers projects in the reviews - they are so sweet. A fun pattern the kids will adore.
  • I remember as a child mum would cook smoked cod in a creamy sauce over Easter and when I saw the Tasty Baked Cod recipe from Molly's Home Guide I had to add it to my list. This will be perfect for Easter Monday lunch with some rice and steamed greens as we enjoy some quiet time with friends.

  • The Crochet Easter Garland Pattern from Stitch by Fay will be a sweet addition to your Easter decorating. I've crocheted two of these so far and they're very easy and super quick to make. I chose muted colours to match my theme and they're simple but oh so pretty.
  • Hippity Hoppity is a stunning Easter quilt pattern from AJ Padilla Quilts. With peeking bunnies, baby chicks, pinwheels and so much more this pieced and appliqued quilt will delight the whole family. The pattern is available to purchase in their Etsy shop and I'm sure you'll love it.
  • I also love the Easter Bunny Quilt Block Pattern from Keper and Twill. The PDF pattern is for a 12" block and this bunny clutching an Easter egg is so adorable. The pattern is available for purchase, and I believe it is for the block only but the quilt in the listing is gorgeous.

  • The Easter Poke Cake from Cooktop Cove looks moist and delicious and the pastel layers give it that festive Easter feel. My grandkids love this, so I've added it to our menu for Good Friday - I know the big kids will fight for a slice as well.
  • A quick way to decorate for the season is with the Free Easter Printables from DIY With My Guy. There's two cute watercolour designs to choose from - bunny ears with flowers or a basket of eggs - simply print them up and frame them! Perfect!

And that's it for another week. I hope you found a project or two to create.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
