Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope this week has been kind.
We took a mini mid-week holiday and spent time in Hobart (the south of the Tasmania).
A winter holiday is relaxed and unhurried. You linger in places longer, appreciate the quiet, connect more and visit places often overlooked in the summer months. It's my favorite time of the year to holiday!
Let's take a look at the projects I found for you this week:
- Tonight's dinner is the Hearty Meatball Stew from My Aunty recipes. This will warm us to the core and I'm looking forward to dunking a chunk of sourdough into that sauce. Yum! This recipe is versatile and easy, and you can switch it up with your favorite meatballs, using what you have on hand.
- The Ferris Wheel PDF Quilt Pattern from Fabric Addict Canada is a gorgeous quilt pattern available for instant download in their Etsy shop. It does require lots and lots of Y seams, so a quilt to savour and take your time with, but the results are stunning. Instructions are for two sizes - queen and king - and there are hard copies of the pattern available as well.
- The Pixie Planter from Days Crochet is a free crochet pattern that will add some personality to your front door, mud room or your patio. It's a simple tear drop planter pattern that would also make a lovely gift for those who enjoy gardening. Add a faux plant and you have a simple decoration that adds charm and personality to any space.
- The Heart Origami FPP Pattern from Modern Quilt Patterns is stunning and I know you'll love this one. Origami is therapeutic and reduces the stress of life, and I'm sure sewing this 20" block will bring you the same benefits. So pretty!
- How delicious does this Lemon and Poppy Seed Loaf look from Mary Berry? I'm loving everything lemon lately. The tang of the lemon has you dreaming of sunshine and I love the aromas it brings to the kitchen. This is on my list to bake this afternoon, and I can't wait.
- That 70's Potholder Pattern from Raffamusa Designs is a free tapestry crochet pattern for a double thick potholder. It has those 60's/70's wallpaper vibes and lots of colour to brighten your kitchen. The pattern is free to use and there are options to purchase the pattern ad-free for your convenience.
- Jane Austen fans will love The Knightley Quilt Pattern from Sara Lucille Handmade. The design represents the outlined cross usually seen on a knight's shield, but it also honours Emma's male hero Mr. Knightley who won our hearts with his chivalry and high moral character. A beautiful quilt pattern that is available for purchase in her shop.
And that's it for another week. I hope these projects inspired you to create.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well!
