Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers. Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week.
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been creative and fun.
Its feeling like spring in our garden. After days of much-needed rain, the sunshine has enticed the blooms to open and flourish. I check my garden daily and I'm inspired by this new canvas of vivid colour and fragrant flowers - the perfect way to enjoy my first coffee of the day.
The glasshouse is full of seedlings, planted seeds and various cuttings waiting to be planted. It's a busy time of year and getting my hands dirty while I work in the soft spring sunshine is one of my favorite things to do.
Let's take a look at the projects I found for you this week:
- How amazing does this Romanian Papanasi recipe from My Gorgeous Recipes look? A cheesy, no yeast, fried doughnut that requires few ingredients and apparently tastes like heaven - yes, please! I've book marked this one for a special occasion or tomorrow whichever comes first ;)
- The Snowflower Crochet Blanket pattern is a 14-part free pattern from V Crochet Patterns. I love patterns like these because your constantly challenged with new stitches and you're less likely to become bored as every row is unique. They're also a great way to play with colour combinations and enhance your skills. The links are available for each part of the series and I'm sure you'll love this gorgeous blanket.
- The Wispy Willow Granny Square Pattern from JSP Create is soft and delicate and would be a wonderful pattern to have in your files for a variety of projects. The floral centre is the star of the block and I'm sure you will find this pattern versatile and easy to crochet.
- Looking for cute way to gift some cookies or muffins? Ribbons and Glue have a tutorial for a One Sheet Gift Box which is so easy to follow. Using a pretty 12" square sheet of cardstock you can create a special or personalised box to gift your baked goods. A fun and easy way to create something beautiful.
- Today I'm baking the Mozzarella & Sun-Dried Tomato Sourdough using the recipe from Country Roads Sourdough. I'm a savory girl and there's nothing better than an Italian flavoured bread, so I can't wait. I make a yummy Parmesan and Garlic loaf, and a Rosemary and Olive loaf, so this will be an extra savory option to enjoy during the warmer months.
- I love the Sunflower Crochet Blanket Pattern from Handmade By Esqu over on Etsy. The beautiful sunflowers pop against the simple backgrounds and it's textured and cosy which is perfect for the late summer/autumn months. This is available as a PDF pattern in their shop and one you'll love to work on.
- Add a little handmade to your reading corner, couch or bedroom with the Guiding Lights Pillow Pattern from Shannon Fraser Designs. I love how simple, subtle and sweet these FPP cushions are, and they would be fun to sew. Patterns are available for purchase in their store.
And that's it for another week. I hope you found something fun to create.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
