Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been kind.
Today we celebrate our dads, so Happy Father's Day to all the dads, especially my dad, my husband and my son in law. I hope you all have an amazing day and feel loved and treasured.
I found some wonderful projects this week, so let's take a look and feel inspired:
- Tonight's dinner will be the Easy Thai Baked Chicken Meatballs from Flavorful Side. Hubby will love these, and I'm serving them with rice and stir fry vegetables. They look delicious and quick to make, and the perfect meal to end a relaxed and wonderful Father's Day.
- Briar Hills Design has a sweet free pattern for The Jam Jar Block. How perfect would this be as a mini quilt in your kitchen? It's traditionally pieced with a little applique to shape the lid, and it looks like a fun block to sew. Use the block for mini quilts, placemats, framed art or a full-sized quilt of sweet goodness.
- How beautiful is the Spiritual Lotus Blanket from Susan's Family? This blanket is a work of art and it's available as a free pattern on Ravelry. There is also a You Tube video to guide you along and make sure you check out their Instagram account. Do I need another crochet throw? Uh, yeah! ;)
- Moonbeam is a stunning quilt pattern from Toad and Sew and it's available to purchase as a download in their store. It's a modern twist on a wedding ring quilt and it's fun and colourful and less daunting than the original. Such a clever design and I'm sure you'll love it.
- I want to try the Brown Sugar Chai Cake from At Sloane's Table. It looks and sounds delicious, spicy and decadent, so I've bookmarked this one for later. It would be perfect for those going into autumn right now or we could all bake it for Christmas.
- I love the lacy design of the Carribean Seashore Crochet Scrunchie Pattern from MJ's Off The Hook Designs. Perfect for casual hairstyles during the warm months I will be crocheting a few of these for the beach bag. The pattern is free to use and looks super easy.
- Keeping with the beach theme, how about the Seashell Quilt Block Pattern from Joe June and Mae? This is super sweet and includes two block sizes (8" and 10") and it's a fun paper piecing design to add to your projects. PDF copies are available for purchase.
And that's it for another week! I hope you found something fun to create.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
