Week Ending - February 1

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week.

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you've had a creative, fun week.

The month of love is here. February may be the shortest month but it's also my favorite. Love hearts, roses and cuddly bears are popping up everywhere, calming our nervous systems and reminding us to be grateful for our relationships and connections. Let's celebrate love!

I did find some wonderful projects for you this week, so let's go:

  • Tonight's dinner is the Slow Cooker Korean Beef Noodles from Recipever. This will cook away while we're off exploring, and we should return to tender beef with big bold flavours and minimal effort. We'll stop at one of the bakeries on the way and grab a loaf of delicious bread to pair it with. It's going to be delicious.
  • I love the Decorative Tray and Vase Cozy Set from The Cozy Knot. This is a free crochet pattern with basic stitches required to create your own. It has a natural, earthy vibe and the texture is gorgeous. A great home decor project if you're looking for something special and unique.

  • The Love Letter Quilt Pattern from Bre T Quilt Design is stunning and how cosy does that quilt look? The hearts and love letters will add a romantic vibe to your home and it's a fat quarter friendly pattern which I'm sure you'll love. The pattern is available for purchase in their shop.
  • Made For Mermaids has the sweetest Tiny Tote pattern available as a freebie. You could sew a batch of these for Valentine's Day gifts and fill them with chocolates. A video and photo tutorial is included to help you and I think you'll find multiple uses for this pattern.

  • The String of Heart Crochet Garland is a free pattern from Simply Made By Erin. I love this, it's simple, fun and quick to crochet using bulky yarn. There is a video tutorial as well and the option to purchase an ad free version of the pattern. It's elegant in a relaxed way.
  • Decadent Valentine's Strawberry Ganache Mini Cakes - yes please! This delicious looking recipe is from Flavor Full Recipes, and I've added this to my list. My mouth is watering just thinking about these little cakes. The recipe uses simple ingredients and will surely wow your loved ones this Valentine's Day.
  • The Patchwork Heart Mug Rug Pattern from Polka Dot Chair will add some love to your home or office and the perfect thoughtful gift for someone special. A great project for using up your pretty Valentine's Day fabrics and a quick one to sew.

And that's it for another week. I hope you found something fun to create.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well. :)

Happy Week Ending :)
