Week Ending - February 15

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers. Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week.

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you've had a lovely week.

Our summer is shifting and winding down. The days are becoming shorter, the mornings crisp and dewy, and after harvesting our gardens we'll put them to sleep for the autumn/winter months. My glasshouse has been cleaned and reorganised for the next growing season; the flowering annuals are looking tired and are gradually being removed and I'm drying rose petals and hydrangea heads for projects during the cosy season.

The next few weeks will be spent preparing for my absolute favorite season, autumn.

I did find seven amazing projects for you this week, so let's go:

  • Tonight's dinner is the Easy Nando's Portuguese Chicken and Rice from Recipes from Melanie. This one pot dinner spicy and aromatic but also a crowd pleaser. I have the chicken marinating in the fridge to absorb all those flavors but that's not a necessary step. A quick, easy and tasty Sunday night's dinner.
  • Made On Mill has a free pattern for the Romantic Crochet Hair Bow that I love. This is a great yarn busting project and you can easily adapt the size with your yarn and hook choice. It's soft, drapey and definitely romantic.

  • How stunning is the Lily's Quilt from L'uccello? This scrappy quilt has wonderful movement and is an amazing project for those precious scraps we save. The finished size of the quilt is 80" square, and the pattern is available to purchase in their store. Beautiful!
  • The Mary Berry Coffee Fudge Traybake from As Cook as You Can is on my list to bake next week. I'm hosting book club and this moist sponge infused with coffee and topped with a creamy coffee fudge icing will please my fellow coffee addicts. Everyday ingredients and yummy flavors.

  • Any hockey lovers in your family? They might love the Hockey Stick and Puck Crochet Applique Pattern from Repeat Crafter Me. This is a fun square and part of a Winter Activities CAL which includes 12 appliqued crochet squares. Join now and crochet a gorgeous novelty blanket.
  • The Detour Table Runner Pattern from Sew Nikki is a gorgeous flying geese pattern that will add something special to your table. The flying geese are constructed from HST's and you can mix and match fabrics to suit your decor. Fun and stunning.
  • For those looking ahead to spring, the Springtime Market Tote pattern from The Grandma Prints might be one to crochet. This free pattern uses basic stitches and its colourful and fun - perfect for market visits or the library. Useful and a stunning project.

And that's it for another week. I hope you found something to create.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
