Week Ending - February 22

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers. Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you've had a creative week.

I worked on a fun new block design this week, and this one will be released early March. It sewed together perfectly (always a bonus), and I want to use it in every project this autumn - there's a little hint.

I also some wonderful projects for you this week, so let's go:

  • Tonight's dinner is the Amazing Chicken Wellington with Dijon Cream Sauce Delight using the recipe from All Home Recipes. Tasty chicken wrapped in golden pastry makes my heart happy and I feel like something creamy and delicious tonight. Can't wait!
  • The Persnickety Crochet Blanket Pattern from Shelley Husband Crochet is stunning. I adore Shelley's pattern and this one is available in her shop for purchase. She has crocheted this up using a beautiful colour palette, but I'm in love with the gorgeous cream blocks she also shared - they would make a gorgeous, vintage style blanket.

  • I love the Free Wet Bag Tutorial Using The Dragonfly Lake Tutorial that can be found on Suzy Quilts. If you're looking for a bag to hold swimmers etc. then this pattern is for you. The Dragonfly Lake block is stunning, and this is a versatile pattern for all your wet gear. Suzy always writes a great tutorial, so you should enjoy this one.
  • Because autumn is on the way, I was looking for free printables to refresh my photo frames and give our home that cosy, warm feel. I found the Artsy Dee website, and she has a post with 120+ Free Vintage Botanical Printables for you to download and use, and these prints are stunning. There are ideas for framing them and using them for DIY crafts and journalling. The whole collection is stunning and there's something for every season.

  • The Windowpane Granny Stitch Blanket from Briana K Designs is a modern design but still has the charm of classic crochet.  You'll have fun mixing and matching colours for this free blanket pattern and it looks like a fun design to crochet.
  • Tuesday is Nanna Day and I have the whole family for dinner. I've bookmarked the Pork Banh Mi Smash Burgers from Rachael Phipps for the adults because everyone loves Banh Mi. This is a fun twist on the Vietnamese sandwich, and I think it will be a hit. I'll be baking my absolute favorite Burger Buns as well. If you haven't tried these, you must.
  • If you're looking for a modern scrappy style quilt, you might like the Celtic Crossing Quilt from Lo and Behold. the photos in this post are inspiring, and the quilt is fun and simply gorgeous. PDF patterns and paper patterns are available to purchase in their shop.

And thats it for another week. I hope you found something fun to create.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
