Week Ending - April 26

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you're week has been creative and fun.

It's school holidays here so this Nanna spent as much time as she could with her poppets. We celebrated Earth Day with fun crafts for the garden and its wildlife, and we had a baking day cooking Anzac Biscuits to pay a tribute to those who sacrificed so much. We attended the Anzac parade and then enjoyed a family lunch of soup, sourdough, homemade savories and our yummy biscuits. What adventures will we have next week?

I did find some wonderful projects for you this week, so let's go:

  • I love the Easy Textured Crochet Sweater Pattern from Kiks and Jacks Crochet. The texture of these stitches adds interest and the yarn they've used is stunning. The pattern is free to use, and it includes multiple sizes to accommodate everyone.
  • Tonight's dinner is the Creamy Garlic Chicken Ramen recipe from Crispy Savours. This is quick to make, and it warms your soul. The flavours are rich and delicious, it looks vibrant and its creamy and textured making it an absolute favorite in our house.

  • If your scrap bins are full and your feeling overwhelmed, then perhaps a Crumb Quilt is a solution for you. Quilting Craft Gossip has a wonderful tutorial walking you through all the steps for this beginner friendly scrap quilt and how liberating would it be to tame your stash just a little and create a gorgeous new scrappy quilt?
  • For my fellow coffee lovers, let's try the Irish Coffee Pie recipe from Beryl's Kitchen. The filling incorporates marshmallows, cream, whiskey and of course coffee and it's poured into a cracker base (or you could make you own preferred base). This recipe sounds delicious and easy to make.

  • How stunning is the Ulita Crochet Doily Pattern from Alsma Crochet Art? The texture is amazing and the stitches are exquisite. This free pattern is available on a Facebook Group. Simply click on the pattern link in the post and you'll be redirected to the group and the PDF file. There are YouTube videos as well to help you recreate your own doily. Stunning!
  • I Am Luna Sol has a tutorial for a Full Moon Quilt on her blog, and this quilt is perfect for snuggling under on those cold nights. The post includes the required wedge template plus basic instructions for piecing a full-sized quilt. It is stunning and definitely worth a look.
  • The Lighthouse Quilt Block Pattern from Delight Quilt Patterns is available as an instant download on Etsy. This is a 12" foundation paper pieced block and it's such a wonderful novelty block for all your quilting projects.

And that's it for another week! I hope you found something fun to create.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
