Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week.
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you've had a creative week.
Hubby and I are currently on a little holiday. We avoided major cities and headed straight to the country to enjoy night skies free from light pollution, quaint towns with history and charm, sleepy gardens and sparkling dewdrops and bask in an abundance of autumn colour. It's restorative and magical and I'm sad our trip is coming to an end.
For this week's Week Ending post, I looked for projects that brought the magnificence of the night sky to our creative spaces, so let's go:
- The Northern Tiles Blanket Pattern from Mark Roseboom is captivating. Every tile is inspired by part of the Northern Lights from places like Iceland, Norway and Alaska. This mosaic crochet captures the beauty of our planet with clever colour placement and intricate stitching. The PDF pattern is available for purchase on Ravelry.
- The Celestial Moon Phase Quilt Pattern from The Quilting Mary is a beginner friendly FPP quilt pattern for those memerised by the beauty of the moon. There are three sizes included in the PDF pattern and it would make a gorgeous wall hanging for a child's bedroom. Copies are available to purchase as an instant download in her Etsy shop.
- Elevate a cheese platter or a bowl of soup with the Irresistibly Cheesy Chilli Shortbread Stars recipe from To Recipe. They are bold, delicious and easy to bake. It's a nice twist on classical shortbread and enjoyable at any time of the year.
- Make a wish with the Shooting Star FPP Pattern from Happy Sew Lucky Shop. It's an 8" block pattern and versatile for projects with a night sky theme or make a whole quilt full to capture this rare and fleeting experience. The pattern is available for purchase as an instant download in her Etsy shop.
- Add the Mother Milk Dream Balls and Moon Milk to your must try list. Using beautiful healthy ingredients, you're adding nourishment and relaxing herbs to your body to help you sleep and dream the night away blissfully.
- The Solar System Planets Blanket Pattern from Two Magic Pixels is a C2C crochet pattern for your preferred method of graph work. The PDF graph is available for purchase in their store, and you can purchase an add on for row by row counts if you prefer. Adorable pattern!
- The Star Stream Quilt Pattern from Sentimental Stiches is a traditionally pieced quilt pattern that's perfect for scraps, fat quarters or fat eighths. The pattern includes three sizes and available as an instant download in their store.
And that's it for another week! I hope these projects inspired you to bring the night sky into your home. There's so much beauty above, we simply need to take a moment and look up.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
