Week Ending - June 14

This week's Week Ending post is pet themed. Our cat Maria (pictured above) passed away almost two years ago now and my sewing room isn't the same without her. She was the first to use any of my quilts and blankets and she wouldn't wait for me to finish them; she'd snuggle between the rows of basting pins or lay on a pile of blocks or yarn. She was my sewing companion, and I miss her stamp of approval. :(

Let's see what pet inspired projects I found this week:

• I love the Beagle Dog FPP Quilt Block Pattern from Tulip Black Iris. She's captured a beagle's enthusiasm and pleasant nature so well. This block pattern is for a 12" block and its available as an instant download in her Etsy shop.
• The Cat's Meow Graph from Highland Hickory Designs is the cutest. This free C2C crochet graph design can be used for a wide variety of techniques, and it looks so fun. I think our granddaughter would love this and I enjoy working with C2C, but I might try a different stitch to challenge myself. Fun!

• Our dog will love the Peanut Butter Dog Biscuit Recipe from Spoiled Hounds. It super easy and requires five simple ingredients. It's good to know what ingredients you are feeding your pet plus its cheaper to make our own and the kids would enjoy helping.
• I think our grandchildren would love some goldfish. Mum might not to be too pleased so we might keep them in my sewing room. The Golden Fish Quilt Block Pattern from Joe June and Me is super sweet and perfect for all your quilting projects. The PDF pattern includes two sizes and its available for purchase in their store.

• Horse lovers will adore the Free Amigurumi Horse Pattern from Always Free Amigurumi. If you're confident with amigurumi, then I think this pattern is for you and isn't he the sweetest? I've added this to my list to try one day.
• Have the coolest dog on the block with the Free DIY Dog Bandana Sewing Pattern from DIY Crafts Daily. This post gives you all the information you need to make your dog a bandana, plus tips and tricks for dog safety etc. You can download the bandana template HERE.
• And lastly, Bunny Kiss from Coach House Designs is a stunning quilt pattern that is available for purchase. The design is for a lap size quilt and who can resist those cute bunnies kissing? So cute and fun.
