Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been creative.
Time! There never seems to be enough and we're always fighting to slow it down or invent ways to create more. My creative time is precious to me, but life makes it inconsistent or non-existent some weeks.
One of the goals I set this year includes two major projects - a huge rewrite/edit/reformat of all my patterns (particularly my older patterns) and a heart and soul project which I won't be releasing until all five components are complete and ready.
After the first month I was already a month behind and at this midway point of the year I realise time is slipping away and this year will reach its end very quickly. I'm not on track but every small step forward is progress, and I need to show myself some grace.
Let's create some more time with these wonderful projects:
- Maries Quilts Store has a stunning Quilt Clock Pattern available for purchase in her Etsy store. It's a modern design and the block is gorgeous - curved piecing. The pattern included lots of step-by-step photos, and this will look fabulous on your sewing room wall.
- A fun educational toy for children is the Crochet Alarm Clock Pattern from Nusty UA. This also has lots of photos to help you and it's recommended for the advanced beginner. It's cute and squishy and a clever way to teach your children how to tell the time.
- A dump and go slow cooker recipe is on our menu tonight and I chose the Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup from Spicy Southern Kitchen. This will cook away while I create and Mexican is always a winner in this house so everyone should be happy.
- It's Always Time For Coffee is a free C2C graph from Highland Hickory Designs and it's poignant and perfect. Use your favorite C2C stitch or try something new and create a wonderful blanket to remind you to take time, snuggle down, sip your coffee and simply be.
- The Cuckoo Pattern from Elizabeth Hartman is adorable and available to purchase at Keepsake Quilting. It's traditionally pieced and finishes at around 49" x 55". It looks like fun and perfect for clock lovers.
- Make your own clock quilt block using the Clock Applique Pattern Pieces from Hometown Quilt Company. The PDF file includes the applique pattern and instructions and its perfect for blocks or quilt projects. This is available for purchase in their Etsy shop.
- Wouldn't a time machine be wonderful? The Doctor Who Tardis Quilt pattern from Hunters Design Studio is fabulous and pieced traditionally so it's perfect for the beginner. Patterns are available to purchase in their store and you'll love this.
And that's it for another week. I hope you find lots of creative time in the days ahead.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
