Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week.
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you've had a wonderful start to June.
Our granddaughter would have me drawing flowers for her all day long. As she jumps from the car, she picks the dandelions in our lawn to bring inside, and she loves running around the garden finding and smelling the flowers - she's obsessed with flowers and she's a mini me!
This week's theme for my Week Ending post, was a no-brainer - it had to be flowers of every shape, colour and size.
So, let's go:
- I love the Garden Dreams Square Pattern from Knotted Up In String. This free granny square crochet pattern has a gorgeous flower design surrounded by pretty borders. It's soft and sweet and if you love flowers this is one to try. Perfect for all your crochet projects.
- Amy Ho from Constellation Inspiration has a gorgeous recipe book called Blooms and Baking. The recipes sound amazing and the flavours are infused with florals like jasmine and lavender. I can't wait to bake some of these recipes and add something special to our spring/summer.
- The Summer Flower Quilt Block pattern from Crafty Staci is stunning. The block finishes at 12" square and how versatile would it be for your quilting projects? PDF patterns are available for purchase in her Etsy shop.
- The Blush Pink Monochrome Daisy Blanket from Crochr is a treat. It is a free pattern with simple stitches, and the blanket looks so soft and cuddly. Using shades of the same colour family makes choosing your yarn easy. The squares are joined using the flat stitch join method and it's finished with a gorgeous scallop border. So pretty.
- The Fluffy Honey Lavender Cakes from Simply Spoonfuls look amazing and every mouthful will transport you to the garden. Perfect for an afternoon tea in the sunshine or for parties, these are a flavour sensation that are sure to impress.
- I Love Roses is a free quilt pattern available on the Crochet and Quilt; Whats Nana's Making website. This pixel pattern is traditionally pieced, and it is dramatic and super pretty. You'll find the links to download the pattern in the post and it's definitely on to try.
- The Beginner Crochet Flower Bookmark Pattern from Creative Fabrica is super sweet and can we have too many bookmarks? It's perfect for gifts or school fetes and free to download. You could also use this pattern as inspiration for a full garland. So fun!
And that's it for another week. I hope you found a floral project or two to create.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
