Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Cookies

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been creative and fun.

I've spent as much time as possible working in the garden this week. Winter is a time for maintenance and creativity and it's so quiet and calm this time of year. It gives me space to think, to brainstorm ideas and I'm at peace when my hands are in the dirt.

This week's theme is gardening, and I hope these seven projects inspire you:

• Rosie Taylor Crafts has a Gardening Bundle 1 FPP Quilt Blocks listing in her Etsy store, and this includes three block patterns - watering can, seed packets and garden tools. They're gorgeous designs and perfect for any quilting project.
• The Community Garden Blanket is a free C2C Cal with 20 block patterns to create. Any gardener would love this blanket, and it includes fruit and vegetables, garden tools and insects. The CAL has finished but by clicking on each of the block photos you can find the pattern - some free, some free if you use the code given. It looks fun!

• Lavender makes a wonderful edible treat and the Easy Lavender Cookie Recipe from Lovely Greens makes it a memorable experience. Infused with lavender, vanilla and honey, these cookies are soft, aromatic and delicious. Definitely worth a try.
• Garden Ready is a stunning quilt pattern from Amy Bradley Designs and it uses applique to create the design elements. There are gumboots, garden tools, plants and more to create and this is a wonderful way to celebrate time in the garden. The pattern is available as an instant download on Quilting Books, Patterns and Notions website.

• Crochet the sweetest Watering Can using the free amigurumi pattern from Lovely Craft. This is adorable and I crocheted one of these to sit on the shelf with my gardening books. He's cheerful and petite and the pattern is very easy to follow.
• London From Scratch has 14 Veggie Cups Ideas For Parties and these will have you eating your garden. So many clever ways to make vegetable appetizing for your family and make the most of your harvest. They're bright, colourful, healthy and creative.
• Tales From The Enchanted Garden is a stunning applique quilt pattern from AJ Padilla Quilts. It's a collection of whimsical scenes - from a mouse painting a flower to hedgehogs sharing a pot of tea. The PDF pattern is available in her Etsy shop as an instant download and it's amazing.
