Week Ending - August 23

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week.

Happy Sunday lovely. I hope your week has been creative and fun.

There's a new baby due in our family in December. Snuggling up in that new baby goodness is utter joy and awaiting his/her arrival is exciting. Babies are such a blessing, and they remind us that life and love is a continuous cycle. I can't wait to meet my new great niece or nephew.

Today's theme is babies and these seven projects are perfect for anyone welcoming someone special into the family.

Let's go:
  • Zoe's Quilt Pattern from Laundry Basket Quilts is perfect for a newborn baby. It has a calm, heirloom vibe and perfect for either scrappy or curated fabric choices. This will wrap them in love and be treasured for years to come. The quilt pattern is available for purchase in their store.
  • The Classic Crochet Baby Booties Pattern from Sarah Maker has folded cuffs and they are adorable - I was so sad when my children outgrew booties. They are sweet and easy to crochet and the perfect handmade touch for a newborn's gift basket.

  • The pinwheel block is one of my absolute favorites and She Quilts A Lot has a wonderful tutorial for her free Pinwheel Baby Quilt. It's simple, stunning and choosing fabrics for this would be fun. Another wonderful quilt to treasure for years to come.
  • Another Mommy Blogger has a post of 20 Freezer Meals to Make Before Baby Arrives and this could be the best present you give to any expectant mum. A stocked freezer relieves pressure on both parents and a big cooking day with several family members makes it quick, easy and fun.

  • The Crochet Baby Lovey Pattern from Easy Craft Design Store is a star shaped blanket with hood and its perfect as a piece of nursery decor or for taking those precious newborn photos. It's finished with an applique bear and moon and is simply adorable. The PDF pattern is available to purchase in their Etsy store.
  • The Twinkle Star Quilt Pattern from Quilt By Magic is stunning. It's a modern HST pattern with a vintage feel and I love this one. It's easy to construct and suitable for the confident beginner +. The PDF pattern is available for purchase in their Etsy store.
  • The Almond Joy Lactation Bites from My Life After Dairy looks delicious and the perfect nutritious treat for new mums. It's a healthy no bake recipe and something special to take mum when it's time to visit and meet the newborn.

And that's it for another week. I found so many more to share so next week will be the same theme.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)
