Happy Sunday lovely and welcome November!
With less than eight weeks till Christmas, it's time to think about festive projects, menus, handmade gifts and decorations.
Once November hits I grab my Christmas Planner and begin to make plans for the season. I designed this Christmas Planner in 2015 and every year my lists, menu planning, receipts etc. are organised and all in the one place. Make sure you download this planner and reprint the pages you need year after year - it's a valuable tool for Christmas planning.
Let's take a look at the Christmas projects I found for you this week:
- Eggnog Bread is high on my list to try this year and I'm using the recipe from Love From The Oven. It looks easy and delicious, and I can imagine just how Christmasy the kitchen will smell while this bakes. I can't wait to bake this for my craft girls.
- The Holly Jolly Christmas Chaos Blanket Pattern is a free crochet pattern from the super talented Sarah at Repeat Crafter Me. It uses just 3 skeins of the Red Heart All In One Quilt Motif Yarn in the colour Holly Jolly and the random colour change makes it festive and fun. A great pattern for gifts or to add some Christmas to your home.
- Patch Joy Design has this adorable Santa Claus FPP Quilt Block Pattern available in their Etsy store. The PDF pattern includes three sizes (12", 16" and 20") and this jolly fellow could be used as a cushion front, the focal point of a quilt or as the cutest mini quilt to hang near your tree. Love it!
- The Winter's Wreath Quilt Pattern from Wayne Arthur Gallery is amazing and with some festive fabrics you'll create a stunning quilt for Christmas. The pattern guide is all written (no step-by-step photo's) but easy to follow and one you'll enjoy sewing.
- How delicious and festive do these Raspberry Cream Cookies look? The recipe is from The Cooking Twins and served with a festive cup of cocoa or wrapped in a lovely box as a gift, these are perfection. Cream cheese added to this dough recipe and it gives the cookies a melt in your mouth texture which everyone enjoys. Yum!
- Cosy Rosie UK has a sweet pattern for a Crochet Christmas Tree Mug Cozy and these would make heartfelt gifts. This pattern includes a base for the bottom of the mug, essentially adding a coaster to the cozy. This one is super sweet.
- The Tomten Quilt from Lewis and Irene is free to download on the Suki Loves to Sew website. This fun traditionally pieced quilt features a stack of sawtooth stars which create a Christmas Tree. It's a great pattern for novelty fabrics and it also features a gorgeous border of Christmas fabric.
And that's it for another week. I hope these projects awoke your Christmas spirit, and you're inspired to start planning your crafting for the season.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well :)
