Nanny Sharons Picnic Quilt

As soon as I saw Modas Cotton Blossoms from Camille and Bonnie, I bonded with it straight away!! The colours reminded me of my mothers interior designing in the 70's and I just loved the fabrics!! So in keeping with the mother/daughter tradition, I named this design after my mother:

This is Nanny Sharons Picnic Quilt. Quick and simple piecing, using Charm squares and some soft macine appliqued flowers!! Something bright and funky to take on family outings!!

And as an added feature, for those days when the wind doesnt want to play nice, Ive added some corner "rock" pockets:

Cosy enough to slip a rock, or something equilvalent in, to anchor it down (just remember not to sit on them lol).

Hope your having a wonderful weekend!!

  1. Rose, it's so beautiful! Are you sure you want to spread it on the ground? VBG Like the rock in the corners idea, too. Great quilt.
