Mothers Day

I hadnt intended to be away from my blog for so long but life is unpredictable. Sadly on Easter Sunday my mother-in-law passed away.......a wonderful mum, best friend and treasured "Nanny Blue" to us all:

Evelyn Caroline Johnston

8/5/1924 - 24-4-2011

She touched the hearts of so many and will be very sadly missed. Yesterday was Mothers Day and it also would have been her 87th birthday. Although our day was very low key, it was wonderful to spend that precious time with Les and the kids, which is really what life is all about!

To all the mums, hope your day was special!

Hope to be back soon with some quilty news!

  6. Rose, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I have been missing your updates. I totally understand, living through the loss of a good friends dad the day before mother's day myself. I spent a lot of time in their house growing up. Here's to our good memories of our loved ones.

Thanks for supporting the Cub Scouts with sharing your craft. My wonderful boy is working on his Eagle Scout and if it weren't for some great adults who took time and care, he wouldn't be where he is today.
