Week Ending (Feb 25)

Happy Sunday :) Thanks for stopping by to see what made my Week Ending list this week. I've got some great links for you this week, so lets get straight to it.

  • Our fridge is a mecca of school notices and photos so when this tutorial for Fast and Easy Quilt Magnets popped up on Facebook, I added it to my must make list. The tutorial is a little vague but it includes the basics so you can play around with your own ideas. You can find all the information HERE. When I make some, I'll draft up the patterns to share with you :)
  • Matt Moran is one of my favorite Aussie chefs and I love trying his recipes. His Fraisier Cake has just made the top of my must make list and you can find the recipe HERE. Looks yummy doesn't it?
  • I found another beautiful shawl to crochet, The Spring Shawl by Hooked On Homemade Happiness. Its very similar to the one I shared last week but I'm really loving the colour combination of this one. You can find the free pattern HERE.
  • Quilt ladders are a great way to display your quilts. I found a DIY tutorial from Sydney Makes Stuff so you can make one yourself, or ask hubby to make one for you :) You can find the tutorial HERE.
  • I decided to bake something different for Les and Cohen's lunches this week and I tried Donna Hay's Pizza Muffins. They were quite yummy, more of a scone than a muffin but quite flavorsome and they were a hit with the boys. You can find the recipe HERE.
  • I was looking at my fabric wish list the other day and I realised that Nest by Lella Boutique is coming out in March (squeal). I love the colours in this range, the blues are to die for, and I'm looking forward to working with this fabric. Head over HERE for a peek at the range.
  • Lastly, have you ever considered making a crocheted or knitted temperature blanket? They are very popular at the moment and I have a few resources to help you out. There's a great article to get you started HERE but your not limited to using 2018 as your reference year. There are resources for downloading the temperature of years past (a birthday year, anniversary year etc.). Australians can click HERE for a daily temperature guide up until about 2004 in some states. USA residents can use this tool HERE (and I believe it may work for Canada as well) for years 2009-2016. For other countries, Google something similar to "daily temperatures by year in......" and see what you can find :)
That's it for another week. I hope you enjoyed this weeks list. I'll be back very soon with my March Mini Quilt and I've got another pretty one for you. I can't wait to show you.
Until then, happy Week Ending :)

  1. You so tempt me with a sneak peak at those nest fabrics, they really are eye candy. So hard to stick to my fabric diet!
