Week Ending July 11

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create, every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I've missed you so much! Apparently when I said I was over the flu and was jumping back into life with gusto, the flu wasn't done with me yet. People told me this years strain was the worst ever, and it takes a good six weeks to recover - I believe them now, whole heartedly!

I'm taking it slower this time and the best place to start was a Week Ending post , so let's go:

  • Did you see the new collaborative book 100 Paper Piecing Quilt Blocks? This looks so fun and some of those blocks are to die for! They're cute and quirky and this book will be an excellent reference book in your library!

  • I was looking for some comfort food and stumbled across the Blueberry Lavender Pie recipe from Half Baked Harvest. I made my own pie base and I had to use frozen blueberries, but this pie was amazing and the lavender was subtle but added a gorgeous flavour. Give it a try!
  • Looking for a new crochet project? How about the Cool Waves Wall Hanging from Divine Debris? This is funky and fun and a great way to brighten the corner of a room. Perfect for kids bedrooms or your own sewing room. Grab your yarn and start crocheting!
  • Skip To My Lou shared a informative How to Make a Reversible Tote Bag tutorial that I'm sure you'll love. This would be a great project for that pretty fabric you've been saving for that special project and I love that it's reversible.
  • I saw this Homemade Bubble Bath Play Dough recipe over on the Idea Room, and I can't wait to make some for my grandson (can you believe he turned 7 months old this week!). It sounds like a great way to lather up and get clean while he plays! So fun!

  • Sarah from Repeat Crafter Mini designed this adorable Caron Little Crafties Crochet Popsicle Keychains and I think the kids would love them. They'd be great for stalls or small gifts as well and the perfect way to whittle down your yarn stash.
  • Soup is about the only thing I've felt like for the last seven weeks, and I can highly recommend this Chicken Cauliflower Rice Soup from Easy Low Carb. It's full of flavor, it's easy to make and it's packed with goodness to help boost the immune system. Give it a try!

And that's my list for this week! It good to be back sharing these projects with you, they inspire me too!

Hopefully my blog posts will return to normal soon. Give me some suggestions - are there any blocks you'd love to see in my Classic Quilt Blocks series? Is there a free block you've been searching for that I could design? Can I bake something for you? Let me know in the comments or shoot me an email :)

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely!

Happy Week Ending :)
