Week Ending - October 23

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create, every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you've had a fun week creating.

I've been trying to finish my crocheted Christmas throw so I can show your photos and post the links. This has taken me a lot longer than I had hoped, but I'm almost there. Hopefully you'll have enough time to crochet one (or two) for yourself :)

I did find some more Halloween projects for you, so let's go:

  • Miss Spider is a free pattern on the Drops website, and this is a good scrap busting project for garlands, decorations or to add to Halloween gifts. You could also use these for place settings or to decorate bookshelves etc. I think you could find a hundred uses for these spiders.
  • You know I love a bucket list, so head over to The Chirping Moms blog for her Halloween Bucket List Free Printable. Print and frame this for your benchtop of desk so you see it everyday, or use it as inspiration for your own bucket list.

  • Living Locurto has an Easy Halloween Chocolate Cupcake recipe that you can bake and these cupcakes have a surprise inside. Her recipe includes pumpkin sprinkles but you could add whatever surprise you'd like. So fun!
  • Caroline from Trillium Design has a block pattern called Witchy Feet. This is a foundation paper piecing block pattern and free to download and sew. Use your block to make a cushion, mini quilt or the centre of a larger quilt.
  • If you're into fandom quilting, True Blood is a foundation paper piecing block from Liljabs and its super fun and vampirerish. This looks fun to sew and I'm sure True Blood fans will love it.

  • The Yarn Crew has put together a post of 15 Free Halloween Granny Squares for you to crochet and you're going to love these. Some are quick and easy and others a little more complex but they're all so fun and perfect for Halloween projects.
  • And finally, Brianna K Designs has the Hello Pumpkin Crochet Pillow for you to try. This is a free pattern and perfect for Halloween and Fall/Autumn. It's worked using bobbins (which is fun) and a great project to end my Halloween inspired Week Ending posts - time for Christmas projects lovely!

And that's it for another week. I hope you found something to create for Halloween.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)

  1. I love the pumpkin block at the top of your post. I didn't see a link for it and I can't find it in your Etsy shop. Is it available?
