Add a touch of Easter to your home or office with these sweet Egg Hunt Mug Rugs! There are two designs to choose from and they make perfect gifts for Easter!
You guys went crazy over my Valentine's Day and Christmas Mug Rugs, so I thought it was time for some Easter ones. Please welcome the Egg Hunt Mug Rugs to my pattern family.
I love an egg hunt and every year we host one with the neighbours. Regardless of age, everyone joins in to help the little ones and it's a fun night full of laughter and chocolate.
There are two designs to choose from in the Egg Hunt Mug Rugs PDF Pattern, and they're both a delight to sew - you'll have fun I assure you!
I kept the designs simple, and they are super quick to sew - it takes around three hours to complete both mug rugs, minus any distractions of course!
The egg portions of both designs are foundation paper pieced and the mug sections are a scrappy pieced rectangle. I did include an option for making this rectangle a solid piece to save you time or to showcase some pretty fabrics you might have in your stash.
The PDF pattern does include a colouring sheet, so you plan your mug rug fabrics or colours prior to sewing and I can't wait to see what combinations you choose.
I used some pretty pastels and a vibrant red to make my mug rugs and I love this combination. Originally, I was going to use some Easter prints, but I shopped my stash, and I couldn't be happier.
The PDF pattern includes full sized templates to make sewing your mug rugs quick and easy, step by step assembly instructions and diagrams, and knowledge of foundation paper piecing is required.
If you need some help with FPP, I have some tutorials here to help you:
There are plenty of resources in these posts to start you on your own FPP journey.
The Egg Hunt Mug Rugs are the perfect way to add a little Easter to your home or your office and they also make a lovely gift idea. You could add a pretty Easter mug and some chocolates or home baking, and gift these to family and friends this Easter.
I have one on my desk and the other in my reading corner and both of them make me smile! It's hard to choose a favorite, but I think the heart one might be the front runner. Which design is your favorite?
I thoroughly enjoyed sewing these Egg Hunt Mug Rugs and I'm thrilled with how pretty they turned out.
