Week Ending - October 13

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been kind!

The shops are full of Halloween decor and yes, it's fun but most of it ends in landfill so let's create our own using our hands and our creativity. Handmade adds a personal touch and you're more likely to save them and use them year after year.

I found seven fun Halloween projects for you this week, so let's go:

  • I'm going to bake a batch of the Slime Filled Halloween Cookies from The Soccer Mom Blog for the grandkids. They will love these because of the M&M's and the green slime will make them even more special. So fun!
  • Love From Beth has the adorable Pumpkin Bags Pattern available in her Etsy shop as an instant download. The pattern includes three sizes, and these would make perfect trick or treat bags. Make one for every member of the family.

  • A quick and easy quilt and applique project is the Halloween Bats Mini Quilt Pattern from The Seasoned Homemaker. It's adorable and so fun and you could make a few for Halloween gifts or to use on your Halloween table. It's a free pattern and one I'm sure you'll want to sew!
  • The Hocus Pocus Punch from Joy & Oliver would look stunning on your Halloween table. It's a fun three ingredient punch that looks like bright green slime and will become the star of any celebration. I love how she's prepared the serving glasses as well.

  • The Gloria Ghost Scarf Pattern from Divine Debris is a fun pattern to crochet and wear this Halloween. It's a colour work pattern but looks very easy and it's a free pattern to use or you can purchase an ad free version on Ravelry to support her work.
  • Handmade With Love has a YouTube tutorial for the cutest Witch Hat Granny Square. The video is very easy to follow, and you can use these squares for blankets, cushions, scarves, placemats or any other project you can think of for Halloween.
  • Add some Halloween to your takeaway coffee with the Halloween Bat Coffee Cozy Pattern from Crafty Staci. This is a cute way to add festive fun to your day and I'm sure this little guy will make everyone smile. Great gift idea as well!

And that's it for another week! I hope you found a new project to work on.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
