Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you're enjoying this festive season.
We celebrated our grandson this week as he turned four. Our poppet is off to school next year (insert tears) and a whole new, exciting world awaits him. He's such a precious soul - so loving, funny, a calm presence, inquisitive, talented with a pair of drumsticks and the best hugger. Love you so much Landon!
I've been working on handmade gifts and most nights you'll find me crafting and watching Christmas movies while the lights twinkle on the tree.
Do you have a favorite must watch Christmas movie?
I did find some wonderful festive projects for this week's post, so let's go:
- I love the Quilted Christmas Stockings PDF Pattern from Flabby Tabby Designs. There are four designs to choose from and you can showcase your Christmas fabrics with some gorgeous patchwork. This PDF pattern is available for purchase in their Etsy shop.
- I needed a dessert idea for a get together next week and I've chosen the Eton Mess Slice from Taste Australia. This looks festive and perfect for our summer Christmas and it's a twist on the classic Eton Mess. I'm sure the girls will love it.
- Briana K Designs has a free pattern available for her Granny Hexagon Stockings and these are lovely. There are 12 hexagons to crochet, and her pattern looks easy to follow. She also has a video tutorial to help you if you need it.
- Pine and Prospect Home has hand painted her Vintage Brass Bells Free Printables and these are delightful. She's included lots of creative ideas on how to use them and you only need to sign up to her newsletter to receive them.
- Simple Simon & Co. has a free tutorial for this Old- Fashioned Christmas Tree Skirt. This is stunning and requires 16 fat quarters for the top of the skirt and backing etc. This skirt will give your tree a traditional and vintage feel. Love it!
- My granddaughter needs the Festive Reindeer Headband from Chain 8 Designs. I know she'll love it and it's a free pattern for everyone to use. I've added to this to my list and hope to have it ready for her playgroup Christmas party.
- Christmas Eve is a big day for us. We jam pack activities from dawn till dusk, so I'm adding the Eggnog Pancakes with Homemade Vanilla Syrup recipe from Let's Dish to my menu list. These will be the perfect start to the day, and they look and sound amazing.
And that's it for another week. I hope these inspire you to create for this festive season.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
