Week Ending - July 27

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you've been creative this week.

I've enjoyed a rare and quiet week at home sewing, baking, planting seeds, making birthday cards for my two special girls (daughter & granddaughter) and reading under my newly finished Harvest Flower Blanket - it's so snuggly and cosy!

Our winter days are flying by so fast and I'm savoring every moment while it lasts. This gentle pause has slowed life right down and I don't want this season to end.

Let's look at the projects I found for you this week:

  • Tonight's dinner is the Feta and Red Onion Plait from Amy Sheppard Food. I have made this before and it's delicious. It's easy to prepare, packed with gorgeous flavour and the perfect comfort meal for this cold winter Sunday.
  • Wild Honey is a gorgeous upcoming fabric collection from Lella Boutique and its releasing in November 2025. This range would be perfect for garden inspired quilts - flowers, butterflies, bee hives etc. - or if you're looking for a fabric line with vintage vibes. Fat Quarter Shop is taking pre-orders if you're interested.

  • Our granddaughter turns three in a few weeks and for her imaginative play gift I'm crocheting some sea themed softies. The Starfish Pattern from Angela Taranina is a free pattern on Ravelry and so easy to follow. I've made one of these and it's super cute. If you're a beginner, then the pattern has lots of photos to help you and they're fun to crochet.
  • I'm also thinking about crocheting a few Mosaic Goldfish using the free pattern from Sweet Softies. They're cuter than some of the other patterns I found, and I know Iris will love these bright and colourful fish.

  • Amber from Gigi's Thimble has a free tutorial for her gorgeous Delma's Dresden Quilt she's named after her grandmother. It looks stunning in the wooden frame and if you haven't tried a Dresden plate block then Amber's tutorial will walk you through every step with clear instructions and photos.
  • Looking for a healthier frozen treat? Scoop and Sprinkle has a post with 18 Easy Frozen Greek Yoghurt Recipes that will satisfy all your tastebuds. I've book marked this for our spring summer and there are so many I want to try. What's your favorite?
  • The Handsome Medallion Quilt from Obsessive Quilt is stunning. The design is beautiful and intricate and perfect for lovers of medallion quilts. This pattern is available to purchase as an instant download in their Etsy shop. Simply gorgeous!

And that's it for another week. I hope these projects inspired you.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
