Week Ending - August 3

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you've had a lovely week!

We celebrated our daughter's 31st birthday this week and if you have a Leo in your life, you'll know their birthdays are a weeklong celebration ;) It was a special time with new memories made and the birthday girl beamed all week long.

The grandchildren are at that adorable age where they can create the decorations and help with the birthday cake/s and it's gorgeous to watch and be a part of - my nanna's heart is full!

Let's take a look at the projects I found for you this week:

  • How delicious do these Fluffy Japanese Cotton Cheesecake Cupcakes look from Crisp Tastes? A light airy cupcake that melts in the mouth will bring so much joy to your day. The recipe looks easy and there are a few suggestions for taking your cupcakes to the next level with added flavours. Yum!
  • I remember watching my mum crochet delicate lace edging on doilies and handkerchiefs, and I found a tutorial from Crochet Beja for her Crochet Lace Edge that I want to try. This edging will add a touch of timeless elegance to any project and I'm so glad I stumbled upon this clear and concise tutorial. Looks so pretty.

  • DIY Joy has a tutorial for How to Make a Rose Garden Quilt and this is something a little different for you to try. There's no pattern required and it's a quilt as you go quilt with a YouTube video to help you every step of the way. It looks fun and a project the kids might enjoy helping you with as well.
  • Tonight's dinner is the Spicy Korean Ramen With Grilled Beef and Creamy Sauce using the recipe from Lady Savor. I wanted a meal with big flavours, satisfying textures and something to warm us up on a chilly winter's night. This recipe ticked all the boxes for me and I'm looking forward to dinner.

  • The Crochet Classic Shell Dishcloth Pattern from the girls at Daisy Farm Crafts is bright and colourful and looks like a wonderful project to crochet. This is a free pattern, and it could be adapted into a full-sized throw - how gorgeous would that look? I think you'll have fun with this crochet pattern and it's a gorgeous stitch to learn.
  • This stunning Heirloom Floral Garden Spring Baskets Quilt Pattern from Snuzzle Babiez is available as an instant PDF download in their Etsy Shop. If you love applique and soft, dreamy patterns then this quilt is for you. So beautiful.
  • For the history buffs in your life, the Crochet Titanic Pattern from The Lazy Hobby Hopper is sure to delight. This pattern is free to use, and it looks so fun. There's also a video tutorial to help you along the way and I want to crochet this as I watch the movie, again and again and again.

And that's it for another week. I hope these projects inspired you.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
