Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week.
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you've had a creative week.
It was the last week of Landon's school holidays, so I enjoyed a lot of Nanna time with both poppets. We started crafting for Halloween, picking out recipes to bake together and I cut out a gazillion bats on the Cricut to decorate our space.
The Boo! Baskets are ready and the kids Halloween cards are made - things are about to get spooky over here. How is your Halloween planning going?
If you're still looking for new ideas, perhaps one of this weeks' projects will inspire you. Let's go:
- The Mini Crocheted Candy Cauldron Pattern from 5 Little Monsters is adorable. Fill these with sweets to gift or to add a handmade touch to your Halloween table. They would also look adorable scattered around the house and filled with fun decorations (like eyeballs, spiders, baby pumpkins etc.). So fun!
- Our grandchildren love brownies (who doesn't?) so I'm adding the Fudgy Ghost Brownies from Birchberry to our list. They're topped with a chocolate ganache and decorated with white chocolate ghosts, stars and assorted sprinkles. They should be fun to bake and eat and look cute on the table.
- The Black Cat Trick Or Treat Bag from Sweetbriar Sisters is a free tutorial with a YouTube video that I think you'll love. Its sweet face will delight any trick-or-treater, and it will fold flat for storage when not in use - always a bonus. A fun pattern you'll enjoy sewing and something not too spooky for the little ones.
- The Amigurumi Witch Hat Pattern from Easy Breezy Crochet is super cute. It's a beginner friendly pattern and get creative with how you use these. Perhaps string them together into a garland, add them to wreaths or floral decorations, use them as name places on your Halloween table. The possibilities are endless.
- I fell in love with the Crochet Witch Legs Scarf Pattern from Seputrend on Etsy. How fun are these? The pattern is available to purchase as an instant download, and it does say it's beginner friendly but some of the reviews contradict this - if you're a confident crocheter you should be fine. Fun, colourful and super clever.
- Grab your girlfriends, put Practical Magic on and dance around with your own Practical Magic Midnight Margaritas using the recipe from WitchCraft Cocktails. Every ingredient has a significance - rosemary for remembrance, lavender for luck - and it adds a fun element to your girl's movie night.
- The Halloween Cotton Candy Block is a fun FPP pattern that is great for beginners and it's available on Etsy from Quilt Fabrication. This is a versatile block and can be added to quilts, bags, cushions or placemats. The pattern is available for purchase as an instant download.
And that's it for another week. I hope these projects inspire you.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)
