Week Ending - October 26

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been kind.

Are you ready for Halloween?

This week I found some last-minute craft ideas for the spooky season, so even if you are ready, you might be inspired to squeeze in another project or three ;) These projects are quick and easy and a fun way to fill in time until the spooky celebrations begin.

Let's go:

  • The Cottage Market has an adorable Free Printable Farmhouse Ghost Wall Art that I'm sure you'll love. Simply print and frame this stunning scene of a ghost in the pumpkin patch in front of an old farmhouse. The file is available in two sizes and it's a no fuss way to decorate this season.
  • Grab a few basic ingredients and create your own Halloween Ice Cream Floats using the recipe from XOXO Bella. These vibrant drinks are a great non-alcoholic treat, and Fanta and ice cream is a crowd-pleasing combination. Fun and customisable.

  • Virkadia has this sweet Crochet Bat Halloween Garland Pattern on her site that I think you might love. The bats are quick to crochet, and you simply make as many as you need. You could also add hangers to the bats and hang them in an old tree branch as a table centrepiece. Such a great scrappy project as well - make them colourful or stick to a more traditional colour palette.
  • Make a set of Quilted Ghost Coasters using the free tutorial from Petro at Easy Peasy Creative. You'll have lots of fun with these and they'll be sewn and quilted in no time. They're cute, spooky, useful at parties and something the kids will enjoy helping you create.
  • Take a look at the post 10 Halloween Party Food That No Guest Will Ever Forget from Rooted Revival. There's everything from a Skull Focaccia to Monster Eyeball Pizzettes and Toxic Mac and Cheese. So many wonderful ideas with simple recipes and how to's so you can recreate them for your own celebrations.

  • The Jolly Jabber has the Scrappy Witch's Hat Tutorial that includes adult and children's sizes so you can sew your own coven of witches. The scrappy look is fun, but you could go with plain black fabric for a more authentic look. Everything you need to know is in the post and I think these are adorable.
  • And finally, crochet a set of Easy Crochet Skull Earrings from DIY Crafts. This is a fun way to feel festive on Halloween if you're not planning on wearing a costume, and they'd made fun gifts for friends or coworkers. The pattern is free to use and looks super easy.

And that's it for another week. I hope these Halloween inspired Week Ending posts have helped you plan and create for your own celebrations.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending and Happy Halloween!
