Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been kind.
I've compiled a short list of projects and recipes I'd like to try this Christmas season. I see new ideas every day and want to create them all, but I have to keep my list doable - my creative time is limited as other people need me more at the moment.
Have you been thinking of Christmas projects to create?
I found seven wonderful projects this week and these might inspire you. Let's go:
- I can't wait to bake the Amadine Tartelettes Recipe from Grammy Recipes. I've had these on my list for quite some time, but a delicate French pastry sounds perfect for our craft Christmas party. We can swap gifts and enjoy the wonderful frangipane flavours and buttery pastry. Yum!
- If you've been following me for a while you might remember I crocheted the Christmas Eve Wishes Blanket from Made By Anita. She has another gorgeous blanket pattern called Cosy Winter Wishes and I started this version, but it's been left abandoned. I used a traditional colour palette for the first blanket, but I chose neutral tones of this one. Both patterns are free to use, and they are wonderful projects. Hopefully I can finish mine for this Christmas.
- The Sparkly Christmas Bell Block Pattern from Around The Bobbin is one of the nicest bell patterns I've seen. I love the chunky shape and it's a versatile Christmas block to have in your cache. The PDF pattern is for a 12" block and it's available for purchase in their shop.
- How delightful is The Night Before Christmas Wall Hanging Pattern from Designs by Susan Clark? This traditionally pieced pattern captures the spirit of Christmas Eve and looks so fun to sew. The PDF pattern is available as an instant download in her shop and I'm sure this will make your Christmas crafting wish list.
- Who wants a plate of these Cranberry Pistachio Shortbread Cookies from Forktide? They look delicious and full of tart cranberries, nutty pistachio and that buttery shortbread everyone loves. I'm sure your guests would enjoy these, and they'd be perfect in gift boxes or as part of a cookie tray.
- If you love a classic old-fashioned Santa, then you'll want the Santa Portrait C2C Graph from Two Magic Pixels. He has a jolly expression and would make a gorgeous festive blanket. PDF graphs are available for purchase in their shop, and you can use your favorite stitch for this one - bobble, C2C, HDC etc.
- Grab three Christmas fabrics and sew yourself a Braided Christmas Wreath using the free tutorial from Peek-A-Boo Pattern Shop. This looks fun and you can get creative with embellishments or the fabrics that you choose. A quick and easy project you'll enjoy each year.
And that's it for another week. I hope you create some of these projects.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
