Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week.
Happy Sunday lovely. I hope your week has been kind.
I released a new Striped Heart Block earlier in the week, so if you missed it, you can download your free copy HERE.
Are you planning a Valentine's Day celebration? Hubby and I are going out for dinner to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary as well, and we're having a little party with the grandchildren earlier in the day. I've decaled a cute t-shirt for them to wear and they each have a bag of fun trinkets, craft supplies, a sweet book and chocolates to devour. They'll love all the fuss and the yummy treats.
I did find some wonderful projects for you this week, so let's go:
- The Irresistible Tomato Tart from Smaakvolle is tonight's dinner. After a slow start, our tomatoes are coming in thick and fast, so this recipe will use some of our harvest. I have a basket full of rich flavoured Roma tomatoes, and these should be perfect for this tart. Can't wait for dinner tonight.
- I love the Puffy Heart Crochet Baskets from Simply Made by Erin. This is a free pattern and there are instructions for three sizes. Pretty, functional and easy to crochet, I'm sure you find many uses for these all year long - they would look pretty in the sewing room.
- The Hobo Bag Pattern from Be Brave and Bloom is a free sewing pattern, and it includes two sizes. You'll enjoy filling these with fun Valentine's Day trinkets like pencils, notebooks, chocolates, sunglasses, lip balms etc. It's reversible as well so chose your favorite pretty fabrics and make it special.
- Made By Gootie has a free Crochet Heart Keychain Pattern that would be perfect to gift to friends and co-workers. It works up quickly with only two rounds and they are fun to crochet. I made a batch for my craft girls and one for myself of course.
- Share the love with the Hidden Heart Valentine's Cupcakes from Curly's Cooking. A soft vanilla cupcake with a surprise inside is a lovely way to say I love you and these look delicious. There is an easy to follow recipe and tutorial and they'll be a sweet addition to your celebrations.
- I love free printables for a quick and easy decoration and the Free Love Letters Valentines Day Printables from I Should Be Mopping the Floor are super sweet. Simply print and frame and you have a decoration for bookshelves, your party table or beside your favorite reading chair. Fun!
- Slice of Pi Quilts has a simple yet stunning Heart Mini Quilt Pattern on her blog and you're going to absolutely love this one. The floating hearts create their own heart pattern and it's so unique. It's a quick and easy project, so grab your fabrics and sew one today.
And that's it for another week. I hope you found something to create for Valentine's Day.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely. Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
