Ready to Quilt

We have had a lovely weekend, lots of laughs, a great shopping trip (which we all love!!!) , an all nite dance comp with my daughter in the lounge lol, cooking meals together, watching a DVD and just relaxing (the way weekends should be!!!!).....but i did sneak out this morning to the sewing room.....i had borders to put on!!!!........its done, so heres the new layout:

Very simple, very country and hopefully easy to quilt lol

Im happy with my decision to take out the stitcheries and put them in new layout, the colours r warm and strong and I stayed "almost" to my goal of only using my stash (only the final borders and the backing had to be purchased!!!):

Its a nice, quick and easy layout and most importantly, the stitcheries have been emphasied and not lost in the quilt.....i just love it!!!.......so my quick sneak out to the sewing room ended up being a "little" longer than i intended:

Its all basted and sitting next to the machine, ready to start quilting tommorrow!!! I am really looking forward to getting started.......im actually back to where i started 2 weeks ago, except this time i love the quilt, so all should go well!!!

Hope u had a fantastic weekend!!!

Oh..... I love it! I think the simple blocks do it. You wouldn't want to distract from the stitcherin. That will be a wonderful BOM. I like the idea that it's not too time comsuming. It's manageable for a first timer. I'm so excited for you! I'm happy dancing for you! Take care~

Oh Rose it's just wonderful, love the colours and the setting you used. As you said it doesn't detract from the stitcheries. Now I can get back to my stitching, now that you've shown us the final photo...... waiting patiently isn't my strongest virtue.....lol...

Ooooooh this looks beautiful! I can't wait to see it all quilted! I have enjoyed seeing your different stictched blocks and the meanings behind them all these past weeks - what a gorgeous quilt! :)

Also, thank you Rose for your thoughtful comments about the quilt I made for my MIL - she did like it very much and I was awfully proud of the quilt. It wasn't complicated or difficult, but I took my time and I was just very proud of the workmanship itself. :)

Hi, sweetie!
This version is most definitely more "you", I think *lol* It's a perfect setting for the stitcheries - really a frame to set them off, and it matches other things you have made earlier (like your cushions - I can see this quilt over a sofa, and the cushions in the corners :o)).
I absolutely love it! Have lots of fun quilting it!

This is a beautiful layout. It sets off the beautiful stitchery quite nicely. You did good! And you were able to be excited enough to put it together rather quickly. Well done.

It is the perfect setting for the stitcheries. Each one is set in it's own little frame in such nice earth tones. You have done a wonderful job on it:))
