Week Ending - November 7

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create, every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! How have you been? I've missed you! It seems I'm doing a hundred and one things at once and none of them very well. I'm overwhelmed, over tired and a little lost, but I know I'm not the only one - 2020 has made everything so hard!

On the plus side, Cohen sits his final Year 12 exams next week, meaning College is over - I've quizzed and helped him revise so much I think I could take these exams! :) Maddi's due date is only twenty days away and bub is no longer breech (phew!), and I just sewed down the last of the binding on his first quilt.

I feel like I'm the least inspiring person at the moment, but I have found some wonderful projects that are sure to get you creating. Let's see what made this weeks Week Ending list:

  • Jeni from In Color Order is having a Lined Drawstring Bag Sew Along. This looks super fun and she has a sale on the patterns at the moment so be quick to join. It's a casual sew along and it all starts on November 18.
  • There are so many pie recipes on social media at the moment and I love the Apple Cranberry Pie recipe from Jamie at I Heart Naptime. I'm looking forward to trying this when our apples start to fruit during summer.
  • I love love love the Crochet Sloth Hat from Sarah at Repeat Crafter Me. I think I need to make one for our grand baby :) I'm a huge fan of Sarah's and this is another pattern that's too cute not to try!

  • Sarah also released her Red Heart Snowman and Gingerbread Stocking patterns and aren't they adorable? It's hard to find cute crocheted stockings so I was so glad to see these and hopefully I can make a few before Christmas.
  • Suzi from Suzi Quilts has a sweet Stars Hollow Christmas Tree Ornament tutorial on her blog and you're going to love this. There's lots of tips and tricks in this tutorial including how to fussy cut the centre block. Love it!

  • Sew DIY has a wonderful tutorial for a Reusable Flower Tote and I definitely need one of these in my life. I love buying flowers at the Farmers Market and this saves on unnecessary packaging plus it looks darn cute. This is a must make for me!
  • And last but not least, I'm making this Vegetarian Mushroom Kale Lasagna Rolls from Skinny Taste for dinner tonight. Our kale is ready to start harvesting and I thought this was the perfect Sunday night dinner recipe. It looks great, so here's hoping everyone loves it!

And that's it for this week! I hope you found something new to try.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well!

Happy Week Ending :)
