Week Ending - June 23

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been kind!

We welcomed the winter solstice with fun craft day! The grandchildren made snow globes and paper snowflakes and we were so lucky to have their great grandmother join us as well. It was four generations crafting together and making special memories.

This is the season for foggy mornings, frosty windows, warm quilts, soft candlelight, hearty soups, bread warm from the oven, classic novels and listening to TTPD on repeat. We need this season to rest, reset and just be - let the hibernation begin!

I did find some inspiring projects for you this week, so let's go:

  • One of my winter bucket lists activities is to try a new curry recipe, so tonight's dinner is the Malaysian Lamb and Potato Curry recipe from Taste Australia. It's a mild curry and can be served with rice and roti.
  • The Sedona Fringed Crochet Throw pattern from Make and Do Crew is stunning. It will add style and texture to any room and it's a free pattern on the website. It uses two types of yarn and would make a fun project that worked up quickly.

  • Free Tutorial Net has a tutorial for How to Make a Needlebook. This free pattern is a fun way to practice some embroidery and it's a portable craft for car rides or craft days. Make an early start of your Christmas list by making one for each of your sewing buddies.
  • The Alaskan Delights Crochet Hat pattern from Bella Coco Crochet is a free pattern that is super sweet and perfect for the long winter days ahead. I love the two-toned look and the texture is everything - so cosy and snuggly!

  • How delicious does the Old School Butter & Sugar Pull Apart Bread from Eat What Tonight look? Yummo! I love making bread and I can't wait to try this one. The recipe sounds easy enough and there are photos to help in each step of the process.
  • The Granny Squares and Brioche Knitted Blanket is a free pattern from Crochet Love Melbourne. This clever design incorporates crochet granny squares and knitted brioche squares to create a stunning, cosy blanket. Beautiful!
  • Give your sewing machine a quick makeover with the DIY Simple Patchwork Sewing Machine Pattern from Midlife Quilter. This is a great scrap buster and an easy way to protect your machine against dust while it's not in use.

And that's it for another week! I hope you found something fun to create!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
