Week Ending - June 16

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you've had a fun and creative week.

Mother Nature provided a sensory rich experience on Tuesday. Landon and Iris were attending an event, and it was raining so hard and too wild for an umbrella. The only car spot Maddi could find was blocks from the venue, so carrying a toddler each Maddi and I made a run for it. The squeals of excitement and the delightful laughter as the rain hit their sweet little faces was so worth a total drenching. We laughed so hard we could no longer run, and we arrived at the event the wettest but also the happiest family :)

Next time you're caught in the rain, turn your head to the sky and embrace it! Let the raindrops dance on your skin and laugh till your sides ache - it's good for the soul!

I did find some wonderful projects for you this week, so let's go:

  • The Swedish Coffee Cake from Diethood is a buttery pie crust topped with a pate a choux mix, a glaze and toasted coconut. This looks fabulous and a great recipe to recreate. A lovely cake to share this weekend.
  • The Flora Granny Square pattern from Attic24 is a gorgeous pattern and such a useful pattern to have in your collection. It's such a cheery and fun granny square and it's a free pattern to download and use in all your projects.

  • I love the Shooting Star Foundation Paper Piecing Block from Tiny Llama Quilts. This is a stunning design and includes two sized blocks plus tips for adjusting the pattern to other sizes.  The PDF pattern is available to purchase on the Keystone Modern Creative website. So fun and versatile!
  • Ojayroom Patterns has a YouTube tutorial for the super cute DIY Lined Bigggg Ruffle Bag that takes 30 minutes to complete. This bag would be perfect for yarn and sewing projects and a quick make for gift giving or craft stalls.

  • Dessert for Two has a Chai Cookies Bars recipe that I know my daughter will love. She loves chai and these bars are baked like a brownie and are gooey in the centre with a crisp sugar crust. We might bake these together during the week!
  • The Crochet Crossbody Bag from MJ's Off the Hook is super cute and features puff stitch granny squares, beautiful hardware and a zip to keep your valuables safe. This is a free pattern (using a sign up) and there's a video tutorial as well if you prefer a visual aid.
  • The Watering Can Quilt Block Pattern from Tomte is a gorgeous FPP block pattern and perfect for all garden lovers. The pattern is available for purchase as a PDF download, and I think you'll have lots of fun with this one.

And that's it for another week! I hope you found something fun to create.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
