Week Ending - March 30

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! How has your week been?

The gorgeously stocked aisles of Easter decorations and decor are a trap for me, and I lose all self-control. I'm drawn to the soft palettes, cosy textures, cute designs and the sweetness of this wonderful season.

I purchase items because the child in me can't resist, but I know handmade items are more personal and satisfying to create. They express love, they're unique and special, and they show the receiver how deeply we care - I'm trying to stay away from the seasonal aisles. ;)

Let's take a look at this week's handmade Easter projects and find some inspiration:

  • Stacy Lee has the cutest Bunny Softie Tutorial on her site, and these are quick to sew and perfect for gift baskets or young children. Choosing the fabrics will be fun and consider everything - cotton, flannelette, velvet or linen - the possibilites are endless.
  • The Italian Herbs and Cheese Bread from Aperture On Court would surely be a crowd pleaser. It's aromatic and cheesy and would pair well with fish and salad for Good Friday or as something to enjoy with olive oil, hummus or mashed avocado and a nice glass of red while the kiddos hunt for eggs.

  • The Easter Bunny Crochet Cutlery Holder pattern from Made By Lisa K is so clever and cute. The bunny requires basic crochet skills, and the pattern is available as an instant download in her Etsy shop. I think everyone will love these and they're such a sweet table decoration.
  • How stunning are these Happy Easter Gift Tags from A Hundred Affections? There are four vintage designs to choose from and she shares heaps of ideas on how to use them. You will need to sign up to her newsletter to receive the download link.

  • Sanda Hart has a free Bunny Template for you to download and she has photos to show you how she has used it as part of a gorgeous garland. The link for the template is at the end of the post and you could use this to embellish anything you like or use her inspiration and re-create your own Easter garland.
  • The Easy Easter Dip Recipe from Fun Money Mom sounds interesting. Made from candy melts, fruit and cream cheese, it takes minutes to make and is amazing on cookies or fruit, as part of your Easter charcuterie board.
  • The Crochet Bunny Granny Square Pattern from Loopara is simply adorable. It's a simple granny square with an appliqued bunny and you could use this pattern for so many wonderful projects. The tutorial is well written, and it looks like a fun project.

And that's it for another week. I hope these projects inspired you to create unique items for those you love.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
