Journey Of A Design - Part 2

After taking a couple of weeks to complete my SBS top, I really have to finish off a few of these new designs, so its back to the Guiding Angel stitchery:

So this was were I left off in Part 1, a completed stitchery. Now for the borders.....I wanted to use something that I havent tried before, so I went for a Pioneer Braid:

A few practise ones to work out the sizing and the colour combinations. These were actually quite quick and easy and lots of fun!! And Im happy with the effect:

This Winter range of fabric is just so pretty and soft. So then its time for the quilting:

Nothing too fancy, just following the lines of the braid. I love this colour cotton, its called Snowflake and it has a lovely shimmer to it.

So nows its all quilted and bound its time to go back over my notes and start the pattern writing process......more on that, next time!!

Gosh that's pretty. The border is just perfect too. I have been wondering how to quilt my French Braid and you may have just shown me how.

Nice!! :-)

The third photo doesn't show up for me - is that just me, or is there something wrong with the post?
