Way back in April, I received some early release prints of Sedef Imer's Summer Blush fabrics to sew a Belle cushion for Quilt Market (you can read about it HERE). Ever since I've been eagerly awaiting the release of this range and finally the long wait is over. Summer Blush is here!
It's been agony seeing this range pop up in USA shops but now its finally available in Australia, and I have to tell you the wait has been worth it - its stunning. I love the colours, I love the prints and I love how summery this collection feels. ♥
Think of all the gorgeous projects you can sew with these fabrics. The possibilities are endless and your projects will be reminiscent of lazy summer days, elegant garden parties and family picnics.
The Summer Blush range includes three colorways - red/pinks, peach/apricots and a green colourway. Sedef has perfectly captured the colours of summer fruits - watermelon, strawberries, apricots and peaches and juicy green grapes. Couldn't you just eat them all up?
There's gorgeous florals, bias stripes (perfect for bindings), geometric blenders and pretty leaf prints. I'm definitely in love with the florals but the whole range is just so beautiful its hard to choose my absolute favorite print.
I purchased a fat quarter bundle plus some meterage because I'm using it for my next two block wonder quilt. I designed this quilt specifically for these fabrics and I can't wait to start sewing.
For now my bundle is sitting on my cutting table taunting me to finish up all the other projects I have going at the moment ;) Its the perfect incentive to get me motivated!
I'm a huge fan of all of Sedef's fabric ranges. She designs such beautiful fabric and her colours are always vibrant. Each collection tells its own story and Summer Blush has me dreaming of fruit platters and mason jars full of refreshing juice served on the patio. Luckily for us, summer is right around the corner and I can't wait.
Even if snow is beginning to fall where you are, these fabrics are sure to delight your senses and have you sewing and dreaming of those balmy summer days :) Look out for this range at your local quilt shop. You're going to love them too.
I should get back to my unfinished projects but maybe I'll just sit and stare at these fabrics a little longer. ♥
Happy sewing :)
