Week Ending (January 6)

Happy Sunday lovely! How's your weekend going so far? I've been busy working on a new quilt for an upcoming fabric blog tour. I can't wait to show you what I'm sewing - the tour starts soon so watch out for my day on January 25. Exciting!
This week I've found lots of fun projects for my Week Ending list so lets have a look at what inspired me:

  • Do you consider yourself to be a good detective? Can you solve a good murder mystery? Then this Murder Mystery Quilt could be just right for you. It sounds like lots of fun and sign ups are open until January 31st. Good luck - maybe the butler did it!
  • I was looking for some new labels for my spice rack and I found these Free Spice Label Printables from The Idea Room. I love the clean look of these labels and there are heaps of spices included in the set. Very cute!
  • You may already know this but Moda is running a String Along and some of the string blocks I've been seeing are gorgeous. Its a casual sew along and a great way to use up some of your scraps. If your looking for a FPP template, I have one HERE from my Little Blue Lake Quilt.

  • I'm trying to plan my crochet projects around yarn I have in my stash and this Buffalo Check Gingham Blanket has been added to my must make list. For some reason, white, black and grey yarn seems to multiple in my cupboard so this blanket will be perfect. Plus its buffalo check...swoon!
  • My must try recipe for next week is this Chicken Pot Pie Quiche. When its hot like it is at the moment, we enjoy something easy with a tossed salad and some crusty bread. This recipe looks like a winner!

  • This Scissor Satchels pattern popped up in my Facebook feed and I love all three of these cute little bags. They are designed by Joanna Figueroa from Fig Tree Quilts and everything she designs is fantastic. Scroll to the bottom for the link to purchase the pattern.
  • And lastly, if your looking for a way to use some faux fur yarn then Ashleigh from Sewrella has a Crochet Collar Topper pattern free on her blog. It looks so cute and its a great way to dress up any jacket for winter.

So that's my list for another week. I hope you found something fun to get you motivated to create. I was planning on sewing a little today but I think the boys want to take a road trip, maybe a little crochet in the car instead. :)
Happy Week Ending :)
