Week Ending - March 22

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers. Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create, every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope you and your family are safe, happy and healthy and coping with this crazy scary world right now. If you're struggling with fear, uncertainty, stress and worry, then I found some great blog posts which might help. They offered me some calm and positivity, and I hope they're beneficial to you and your family as well.

Melissa Ambrosini is such a beautiful soul and she put together a wonderful post on Finding the Silver Lining In Uncertainty. There's lots of ideas on what to do if you are self isolating or in lockdown, and it's a wonderful and uplifting post - just what we need right now!

The second thing I found was a 30 Day Gratitude Journaling Challenge from Amy at the Idea Room. We can't control what's going on around us, but practicing gratitude keeps us in the moment and helps us cope better. It doesn't matter when you start, just follow the daily prompts.

And Tiny Buddha has a fantastic post on How to Take Good Care of Yourself During the Coronavirus Pandemic. This post is good for the soul!

If you've found other posts which offer genuine support for people right now, share them in the comments - we need to be there for each other!

I will continue to share the Easter projects I find this month. Easter may look very different for your family this year as it will mine, but crafting keeps us busy and distracted. Here's what I found:

  • First up is this Easter Bunny Pillow from Uncommon Designs. This is an applique pattern and it's a no sew pattern but I would still sew down the applique just in case. This might be the perfect pattern to try some raw edge applique if you haven't before. So fun and super cute!
  • These Easter Baskets from Lazy Girl Designs are super sweet. There's a link to the Button Boats pattern which you will need first and then the tutorial shows you how to add a handle. The kids would love these for their Easter Egg Hunt.

  • The Chocolate and Coconut Hot Cross Bun Fridge Cake from Taste Australia looks quite yummy. It's a different way to use hot cross buns and it looks quite easy. This one is on my "might" make for Easter list!
  • How cute are these Easter Egg Mini Bunny and Lamb Hats from Pattern Central? This is a free crochet pattern and it's a great use of scrap yarn and a little fabric. I want all my eggs to wear these this Easter. :)
  • I also love this Crochet Bunny Easter Basket from Briana K Designs. This is a paid pattern and digital download I found on Etsy. Make sure you check out her other designs while you're there, they are amazing.

  • These Easter Bunny Hug Cookies are too sweet! I made something similar with Ginger breadman Cookies and Candy Canes one year for Christmas. Just use your favorite sugar cookie recipe and use the photos for inspiration.
  • And finally, you can print your own Easter Gift Tags over at Designer Blogs. These tags are super sweet and the file is easy to download and print. I love the colours of these ones but if you're looking for something simpler then try the Some Bunny Love You Tags.

And that's it for another week. I hope these projects give you some Easter inspiration!

Next week on the blog I hope to share my latest project off the hook (it's just a little one) and in my Classic Quilt Blocks series I'm releasing a new mini quilt pattern which is super cute and super fun! Stay tuned!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, and stay happy and healthy :)

Happy Week Ending :)
