Chocolate Crackles

Make a classic recipe with a tasty twist to celebrate the season. These Easter Chocolate Crackles are super easy and the perfect snack to share with chocolate lovers!

Let's go way waaaaaay back to a much younger me, who came home from school one day and mum had made Chocolate Crackles for a party the next day. I've was over eager to taste these sweet treats and seeing them in the fridge every time I opened it was pure torture.

I don't remember what the party was for, but I do remember being the model child and offering the plate around hoping against hope the guests didn't eat them all before I finally got a taste.

It was a bitter disappointment - the Copha killed it for me! If you feel the same, then today I have a treat for you - Chocolate Crackles with a yummy twist!

Copha is predominately coconut oil, which I don't mind in small quantities but in Chocolate Crackles it overpowers the flavors and leave a greasy residue on the taste buds - ewww!

This Chocolate Crackles recipe uses melted Mars Bars to bind the ingredients together and once you've tried it this way you won't go back to the classic recipe.

The caramel and nougat from the Mars Bars is pure perfection, making them rich and indulgent and full of flavor.

They're such a fun treat and if you add a few speckled eggs, they're the perfect snack for Easter.

You could also add mini marshmallows, sprinkles or cachous - make them as festive as you want.

With a little supervision, the kids will love helping you make these Chocolate Crackles. They are super easy, and they set quickly, so they don't have to wait long to taste test.

Chocolate Crackles can be enjoyed at any time of year, but at Easter they are fun, and they satisfy those sweet tooths.

For something a little extra, shape the mixture into bird's nests and fill them with mini eggs or press it into a pan, decorate and then cut into slices.

They're full of flavor, texture and they make a lovely addition to your dessert or snack table.

Even lovers of the traditional Chocolate Crackles recipe love this version. There's no Copha residue left on the taste buds and the Mars Bars flavor can't be beaten.

I hope this Chocolate Crackles recipe brings some sweet fun to your Easter celebrations. They make my little girl heart happy, and they'll delight the family this season!
