Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been kind!
Also, Happy Birthday to my dad! We love you heaps and hope your day is fantastic!
I have some more Christmas inspired projects for you this week and some of these I've added to my lists for the season. A handmade Christmas is special, and we're so blessed to be able to create for those we love with our own two hands.
Let's take a look at this week's projects:
- The Jolly Holly Christmas Quilt from TQ & LPQ Pattern Shop is a stunning example of traditional piecing and applique. I shared one of their quilts last Sunday and this is another stunning quilt with a vintage feel - I just love it! The PDF pattern is available to download in their Etsy shop.
- The Christmas Crochet Snowflake Blanket pattern from Seacliffe Cottage is stunning. I added this to cart straight away and I can't wait to get started. I know one little poppet (Iris) who would love this blanket for Christmas. The PDF pattern is available for purchase.
- The Gingerbread Latte Cake recipe from Sugar and Sparrow is stunningly decorated. You can simply bake the cake and enjoy, but if you want to recreate this masterpiece, there are detailed instructions and a video to help you.
- Yarn & Chai has the I Saw That - Santa Wall Hanging as a free pattern and its adorable. The kids will be delighted with this cheeky Santa hanging near the Christmas tree and it might be more effective than the usual "I'll tell Santa" warning most parents use - or was that just me? ;)
- The Christmas Irish Chain Quilt is a free quilt pattern from Sew Can She and it's stunning. There are two blocks in this design so you can adapt it to suit your needs, and it looks fun and easy to sew. The free pattern is on the website, or you can purchase an ad free version from her shop.
- An essential part of a German Christmas is Basler Leckerili and you can try the recipe on the Food and Wine website. Filled with almonds, citrus and spices this slice looks delicious and perfect for Christmas entertaining.
- Fabric 406 has a Free Christmas Star Quilt Block pattern you could use in all your quilting projects. This stunning block finishes at around 12" square and in Christmas colours it would be a versatile block for the season.
And that's it for another week! I hope these projects inspired you to create for Christmas!
