Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!
Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been kind!
This week's post features more St Patrick's Day projects to inspire you to create. For our celebrations I've organised a (chocolate) gold coin treasure hunt for the grandkids, and we're baking shamrock shaped cookies for an Irish tea party in the backyard, dressed in something green of course. We might even build a leprechaun trap or create our own rainbows in sidewalk chalk - yeh, we'll definitely be doing that!
Leave a comment and share with me your plans for St Patrick's Day :) I'd love to hear.
Let's take a look at this week's projects:
- Simple, warm and comforting is how No Dash of Gluten describes their Irish Potato Farls recipe - yes please! The golden, crispy slices are a pure comfort food that's perfect for breakfast or as a side dish. It's basic ingredients and it's on my list to try.
- Laura from Traverse Bay Crochet has the cutest St Patrick's Day Crochet Bow Tie pattern free on her website. There are two sizes available - child and adult - and it's such a quick, fun project that will add a touch of the Irish to your celebrations - perfect for backyard tea parties I think ;)
- I love love love the Leprechaun Hat Quilt Block Pattern from Quilters Press. The PDF pattern is available to purchase in their Etsy shop and the listing includes a 12.5" square block pattern plus additional instructions for a 16" cushion. You could use this block for so many projects and it's super cute.
- The Easy Cabbage Fritter with Garlicky Dip from Babaganosh look like the perfect savory pancake and I will definitely be making these for St Patrick's Day. They're a delicious light lunch or finger food option, and it's a clever way to serve cabbage to the grandkids.
- Nikki from The Knotted Nest has a Crochet Shamrock Garland Pattern which is free to use and who doesn't love a shamrock? They are lightly filled making them squidgy and cute. You could also use them to fill a bowl or add names for place card holders or hot glue them to sticks and make a whole vase full of good luck.
- If you're short on time, Deb's Days has shared a quick and easy pattern for her Quilted Shamrock Coasters. She lists all the requirements, a link to purchase the shamrock template and a video tutorial to help you make your own coasters. Super fun and very pretty.
- St Patrick's Day is a fun celebration and you'll be making memories to keep forever. If you have a cutting machine, then Persia Lou has a free SVG file for her DIY St Patrick's Day Paper Glasses to use for photo props or as part of your St Paddy's Day costume. Super fun!
And that's it for another week lovely! Next week I'm on the search for Easter inspiration and projects.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)
Happy Week Ending :)
