Week Ending - October 1

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely and Happy October! How has your week been?

Halloween is right around the corner, so my October Week Ending posts will be filled with crafty inspiration to get you creating for the season. Hopefully I've found some fun quilting, baking, crochet and DIY projects to make your Halloween celebrations memorable.

Let's get started with this week's projects:

  • I adore the Peeping Cats Quilt Block from DIY Tutorial Ideas. This is a free block pattern with basic instructions and an additional block pattern for you to try. This block would be perfect for cushions, placemats, table toppers and mini quilts.
  • Black Velvet Cupcakes sound amazing for any time of year, but Ella from Alpine Ella shared her recipe to use for Halloween. These look delicious and moist, and I'm sure you'll make a lot of people happy with a batch of these on your table.

  • How cute is this Ghost Quilt Block from Centre Street Quilts? He's so adorable and Kristina has a great tutorial for you to create your own version. The block finishes at 12" square so it's a versatile pattern for all your Halloween quilting.
  • Want a crocheted ghost pattern? I love the Halloween Ghost Amigurumi pattern from Tomoko Hori. This pattern is free to download on Ravelry and he's such a cutie. There's also a link to her You Tube channel for a video tutorial - be sure to check out all her tutorials while you're there.

  • Emily from Hunny I'm Home has a quick and easy No Bake Halloween Witch Hat Cookies recipe that I'm sure will delight your guests. It's a four-ingredient recipe - Oreo's, Hersey Kisses, icing and sprinkles. Looks cute and yummy!
  • McCalls Quick Quilts has a stunning free pattern for you to try. The That Cat Halloween Quilt is a real showstopper, and it finishes around 29" x 32". The quilt is traditionally pieced, and the cat is appliqued.  I think you'll have fun with this one!
  • Connie from Freemotion By The River has a sweet and simple Pumpkin Quilt Block and Table Runner tutorial for you to try. It's a comprehensive tutorial and one you can sew for Fall and Halloween.

And that's it for another week! I hope these projects inspired you to create for Halloween.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
