Week Ending - October 22

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been creative!

How's your Halloween preparations going? I hope these posts are helping you plan something special for your loved ones. We'll be celebrating Halloween a day early because Madeline is undergoing a procedure on her back/pelvis on the 31st. We hope this could be the solution for her ongoing pain, so send good thoughts her way. :)

I found another seven inspiring Halloween projects for you this week, so let's go:

  • The kids will love these DIY Clay Ghosts from Why Don't You Make Me. They are cute and simple and a fun project to work on together as Halloween approaches. Display a group of them on a shelf or sideboard and add some fairy lights or tea lights to make them glow.
  • The Itsy Bitsy Spider Quilt is a free pattern from Wendy Sheppard. It's beginner friendly and using simple patchwork and applique. It finishes at 35" x 45" and it's a sweet quilt to hang this Halloween season.

  • I need to make the Halloween Cheesecake from Fresh April Flours. It's a basic cookies and cream cheesecake tinted orange and filled with Oreo chunks, and it sits on a crushed Oreo base - yummo! I'm adding this one to our Halloween party menu.
  • The Black Cat and Jack-O-Lantern Blanket pattern from Lovable Loops is a free C2C pattern for you to crochet. It finishes around 31" x 41" and it would be a fun throw for the kids this Halloween.
  • Artisania has a free Jack-O-Lantern Block pattern for you to sew. It's a foundation paper pieced block and it finishes at around 8" x 10". It's a fun pattern and one to have in your files this Halloween season.

  • The Brownie Cupcakes from Two Sisters are a unique twist on a classic - brownies, cupcakes and frosting to create a delicious cupcake. These look super yummy and easy to make and I can't wait to make these for my sewing girls.
  • The Yarn Crew has a post with 6 Free Spooky Halloween Garlands for you to crochet. There are bats, spiders, pumpkins and more and it's hard to choose a favorite - they're all cute. Garlands are a great way to decorate for the season, plus they're a good stash buster.

And that's it another week! I hope you found something fun to create!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
