Week Ending - October 29

Seven inspiring projects, seven talented makers! Quilting, crochet and baking links to inspire you to create every day of the week!

Happy Sunday lovely! I hope your week has been kind.

It's almost Halloween and I'm hosting a little party for the grandkids on Monday because their mumma is having treatment on her pelvis on Tuesday. We'll be watching a movie (possibly Pooh's Heffalump Movie), eating some Halloween treats and I have some simple craft activities planned. How are you celebrating Halloween this year?

I did find you some more Halloween projects this week, so let's go:

  • The One-Eyed Monster Cookies from Smart School House look fun and something the kids will love. I've never been a fan of sour gummy worms or sour anything, but I know my kids love them. Could be a fun recipe to work on together.
  • Chicken Scratch NY has a quick and easy tutorial for her Spiderweb Candle Holders. Turn a simple vase into a fun Halloween decoration with some yarn, a glue gun and some plastic spiders. This is clever and a fun decor idea.

  • Apples and Beavers has a fun Little Kingdom Halloween Pillow tutorial that is super sweet and lots of fun. She explains how she put this pillow together using her castle block from her Tiny Town pattern and all the links and information you need are in the post.
  • I know the Kit Kat Halloween Candy Bark from Just a Taste will be popular at our Halloween Party. This looks fun and you could adapt it to suit the candy you have. It's the little eyes that do it for me - perfect but not too scary!

  • The Spider Web Garland from Urbaki is a quick and easy crochet project I'm sure you'll love. I started this yesterday afternoon, and it grows very quickly. You can use any yarn in your stash and its simple single crochet stitch.
  • Need a treat bag? Sew Very Crafty has a tutorial for her Pumpkin Treat Bag and it's adorable. The tutorial is very easy to follow, and you can whip up some of these in no time at all. The kids will love his little face and it's generous enough for lots of treats. ;)
  • I love the Spider Web Crochet Coaster pattern from Cute Alley. They would add a touch of Halloween to your home and would make lovely gifts for neighbours and friends. The pattern is available in her Etsy shop as a PDF download.

And that's it for another week! Enjoy your Halloween celebrations and I hope you make some wonderful memories with those you love.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovely! Stay safe and well :)

Happy Week Ending :)
